@nparisiMD Oh the Q8h is so rough! As in weird alarms to give my 10lb dog zofran sometimes at 1, 2, 3am (330am today hence twitter at 4am) because I missed an hr or so with previous doses. Glad your good boy is safe and sound!

We weren’t done yet though. Frank was prescribed q8h cholestyramine and a low calcium diet of macaroni and plain ground beef (arguably better than his usual kibble?) for the week. I now can relate to patients taking q8h meds - it’s tough!

At my very first cancer treatment, the nurse starting the IV floated one vein, and then stuck an artery over the second. My veins are massive. Those remain the only misses I’ve ever been a part of. We still laugh about it. Tell me some funny cancer stories :) #thankscancer

#geriatrics happening this wk: 90+yo with vintage cars always marvels when I google one of his car years to see a pic. This wk he said, google me 🤣. He holds a Guinness book record on one so I printed the story for him.

@acweyand I was the unintentional exact opposite and breaks my heart (I’d like the time machine do over). But my kid was ALWAYS late (alarm clock since 1st grade to try to avoid all of the yelling to get up for the 100th time) and drop off frequently involved way too much fussing 😢

My favorite role might be school drop-off hype woman. You got this! You got the love, courage & kindness to face anything! Go out & spread some goodness in the world. Whether it’s a smile for a kid who is down or some kind words for a classmate. The possibilities are endless!

@MLS_Dave Always masked, everywhere. Run an air purifier in my exam room. Awesome when I can encourage my pts to mask and support them when they do. Encourage safer family gatherings (improve ventilation) and masking if flying.
