Circumcision of the flesh could still typify circumcision of the heart, even though regenerate Old Covenant saints already possessed that inward reality. The Baptist argument is not that no one before Christ had a circumcised heart. That would be absurd. The argument is that the Old Covenant, as a covenant, did not guarantee circumcision of heart to every covenant member. The New Covenant does: “they shall all know me,” and God writes His law on their hearts. That is the covenantal difference.

Can anyone recommend a Protestant podcaster who offers an apologia of our theology against Catholic theology who is a clear creationist—six days, global flood? I know there are some who do this who are local flood, symbolic creation type of people and I’m not interested in them. If it’s someone, for example, who would promote Biologos and Francis Collins or work with Biologos, I don’t want that guy. Is there anyone like this?

This one is for the free will Arminian folks. Forget Calvin. Forget R C. Forget labels altogether. Just answer one simple question honestly. Why does Jesus speak the way He does if salvation is ultimately a human decision? Why does He say “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him” John 6:44. Why does He say “All that the Father gives me will come to me” John 6:37. Why does He say “You did not choose me but I chose you” John 15:16. Why does Scripture say “As many as were appointed to eternal life believed” Acts 13:48. And why does Jesus say “I lay down my life for the sheep” John 10:15 and not for everyone without distinction? If salvation begins with man’s decision to say Yes or No, these vverses make no sense. Jesus does not speak like someone making salvation possible and waiting to see who responds. He speaks like a Shepherd who knows His sheep and gives His life for them. The issue is not theology systems. It is whether we will allow Christ to speak plainly without reshaping His words to protect human pride.
