Joe, your post (and the attached graphic) is classic partisan fear-mongering—deceptive, exaggerated, and designed to scare rather than inform.
It claims the SAVE Act (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, also styled SAVE America Act) is “about taking over elections to try to stay in power,” makes voting harder “especially [for] women and those in rural communities,” and is “voter suppression—plain and simple.”
This is ludicrous rhetoric. Let’s break it down with what the bill actually does.
What the SAVE Act actually requires
It sets minimum federal standards for federal elections:
• Documentary proof of U.S. citizenship (passport, birth certificate + photo ID, naturalization papers, or similar) to register (or update registration) to vote. Self-attestation under penalty of perjury is no longer enough.
• Photo ID to cast a ballot.
• States must clean voter rolls of confirmed non-citizens using available data (including DHS tools already used by many states).
It passed the House multiple times in recent sessions but has faced Senate hurdles.
Non-citizen voting is already illegal for federal elections. The bill simply adds enforcement teeth to a rule that currently relies on “trust me, I’m a citizen” forms in most states. Lax systems + motor-voter + high immigration have created real vulnerabilities—states and federal prosecutors have identified and removed non-citizens from rolls or prosecuted cases in recent years.

Your statements are misleading and insincere.
This nation has always welcomed people from around the world who follow the law to get here — just like your own ancestors did. That’s what built American exceptionalism: the rule of law, not open borders or selective outrage.
ICE enforces immigration laws against those who break them, including illegal entrants and people with final deportation orders. When a targeted vehicle flees during an operation, tragic outcomes can happen — that’s the reality of law enforcement, not “cruelty and inhumanity” at the hands of agents doing their job.
Blaming “Donald Trump’s campaign against people who come from other places” while ignoring the distinction between legal immigration and illegal presence (or active resistance to lawful enforcement) is dishonest rhetoric.
If you’re going to use your bully pulpit as a Congressman, at least be truthful and sincere. America doesn’t need more politicians who twist facts to attempt to score political points.

@RepJoeMorelle @HouseAdm_Dems Hopefully you’ll do as good a job as you did for Tom Richards……

As top Democrat on @HouseAdm_Dems, I'm working with voting groups across the country to prepare for Donald Trump's attacks on our elections.
The scenarios we are working through have never been encountered in American life before, but that hasn't stopped Donald Trump.

🔥 TRUMP JUST REPOSTED JFK’S MOST TERRIFYING SPEECH — AND THE DEEP STATE IS PANICKING
JFK saw it coming. In 1961. And now, Trump has just made sure 300 million Americans see it, too.
The speech everyone’s talking about: Kennedy’s address to the American Newspaper Publishers Association, April 27, 1961. The CIA had just botched the Bay of Pigs. Kennedy was livid. He’d been lied to by his own intelligence apparatus. And he walked onto that stage and said something no president has dared say since.
“We are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence — on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice.”
Read that again. Monolithic. Ruthless. Conspiracy.
This wasn’t some fringe radio host. This was the sitting President of the United States, on live television, telling the American people that a shadow network of power — operating through intelligence agencies, media complicity, and institutional capture — was working against the republic itself.
And then he said the quiet part out loud:
“Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed.”
Sound familiar?
Sixty-five years later, Trump drops this video on Truth Social. No commentary needed. The speech does all the work. And within hours, the same media outlets that spent four years calling Trump a conspiracy theorist are suddenly very quiet.
Here’s what they don’t want you to connect:
- Kennedy was assassinated 2.5 years after this speech
- The Warren Commission was a joke — even the House Select Committee on Assassinations in 1979 concluded Kennedy was “probably assassinated as a result of a conspiracy”
- The files are STILL classified
- Trump has been pushing to release them, but the permanent national security state refuses, instead slow-walking the order
The timing isn’t random. This isn’t just history. JFK described a permanent national security state that has only grown more entrenched — one that operates beyond elections, beyond accountability, beyond the reach of voters.
Kennedy called it “a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific, and political operations.”
That machine didn’t disappear when he died. It got even stronger.
Trump reposting this isn’t nostalgia. It’s a signal. The same forces JFK warned about are the same forces that tried to destroy Trump — Russiagate, two impeachments, lawfare, media blackout, assassination attempts. The playbook hasn’t changed. Only the names.
And now the sitting president just reminded the country who the real enemy has always been.
The speech that scared them then is the speech they’re terrified you’ll watch now.
Sharing this because they’re counting on you not to watch it. Don’t let them win. 🎯

John Fetterman brings the Kennedy Center to complete silence as he delivers this emotional message on stage:
“I know and I love people who voted for President Trump. They are NOT fascists, they’re NOT Nazis, they’re NOT trying to destroy the Constitution.”
“I REFUSE to call people Nazis or fascists. I would never compare anybody — anybody to Hitler.”
“Like Charlie Kirk, all I could say is let people grieve — give people the space. I’m not going to use that terrible thing and that assassination to make my argument and try to put out my views.”
“It’s like, my God, he’s a father that had his neck blown out by a bullet. And now people have forgotten: President Trump was in my state — was shot in the head. Could you imagine where our nation would be if he were hit in the same way as Kirk? We really got to turn the temperature down.”

At the end of a particularly thrilling and rollicking meeting in the Oval Office, Lindsey Graham turned to the room and said: “I’ve never had this much fun in my life.”
I cannot describe to you how much joy President Trump’s leadership and friendship brought to Lindsey. Meetings with Graham at the White House were filled with camaraderie, kinship and uproarious laughter.
As heartbreaking as his sudden passing is, I hope it will bring some measure of comfort to those who cherished him to know just how much he was living his dream every day. Very rarely in life do you get to be exactly where you want to be, when you want to be there, with who you want to be with, doing precisely what you want to do — that was every moment for Lindsey.
When President Trump won in Nov 2024, Lindsey was exultant. Elated. And determined. He couldn’t wait to spearhead work, as the Budget Chairman, on the reconciliation bill that would cement President Trump’s most important campaign promises. I’ll never forget the senate lunch, when a couple Senators were a tad off the program, and Lindsey — in his inimitable way — made sure everyone was onside by the time we left. It was a glorious thing to witness. He knew how to move a room.
Lindsey was a senator’s senator. The job was everything to him. Truly did he believe in the splendor of the office and the noble lineage behind it, of which he was the worthy heir.
He was a senator in the mold of those who fashioned the institution, someone who still had the ability, in a heated exchange, to use rhetorical power to change the course of events.
Which is why we will never forget his legendary Kavanaugh moment. We rarely think that we are out of time with our friends, so while there is a lot more I wish I could have said to Lindsey, I am glad that more than once I told him what that moment meant to the whole nation and why he was the only Senator who could have done it with such utter perfection.
Most importantly, I had the chance to tell him on many occasions what his friendship meant to me and to us all. There was never once a time he didn’t answer a phone call and lend whatever assistance was required. It was never a question with Lindsey. He believed deeply in the code of friendship and loyalty.
The fact that Lindsey started out as a political opponent only to become one the President’s most steadfast and faithful supporters underscores that Lindsey believed emphatically in the voice of the people.
There is a lot more I would like to say. His passing, at a time when he had never been more dynamic, is as unexpected as it is shocking. In many respects, Lindsey was the last of a breed of American Senator whose like we may not yet see again for a long time.
He lived every minute in the arena, a political gladiator to the very last.
More than anything now, our thoughts are with his Sister, nieces and loved ones.
We pray that God will ease their sorrow and heal their pain.
Lindsey can never be replaced and will never be forgotten.
Godspeed, my friend.

Your side turned “trust the process” into a punchline. Trump is fixing it.
Spare us the pathetic fear-mongering.
Donald Trump and the SAVE America Act aren’t trying to “stop Americans from voting.” They’re trying to stop non-citizens, dead people, and fraudsters from voting in our elections.
Proof of citizenship to register + basic voter ID isn’t “suppression.” It’s what every serious country on Earth already requires. Polls show 80%+ of Americans — including strong majorities of Democrats — support it. The only people terrified of it are those who benefit from loose rules.
Your party spent years doing the exact opposite:
• Fighting voter ID tooth and nail while expanding unsecured mail-in ballots with almost zero verification during 2020.
• Weaponizing Big Tech, the media, and intelligence agencies to bury the Hunter Biden laptop story weeks before the election.
• Running the Russia collusion hoax to undermine a sitting president and poison public trust.
• Using lawfare, censorship, and selective prosecutions to tilt the playing field.
• Opposing every single audit or cleanup effort afterward.
At best, Democrats created massive, justified doubt about election integrity. At worst, they actively altered outcomes by gaming the system and then gaslighting anyone who noticed.
Now the adults are back, demanding the basics: only citizens vote, and we can prove it.
The SAVE America Act doesn’t “stop voting.” It restores confidence that the people deciding our future are actually the people who get to decide it.

Over the next several months, we will continue to see wave after wave of things Donald Trump will try to do to stop Americans from voting. We won't let him succeed.

Joey, another worthless post written by your staff that you just parrot like every other day. You’ve never accomplished a damn thing and never had an original thought in your life. Compare that to POTUS Trump, who has made every single day of his life count with real results, bold leadership, and actual work for the American people. You can’t even begin to comprehend that level of drive or success. Sad. Oh and how did those four years go…..almost irreparable damage to the republic—and you rode that wave supporting Biden’s failed presidency.

@RepJoeMorelle
Spare us the fake outrage, Congressman. We celebrated 250 years of our Constitutional Republic — not some pure “democracy” your party keeps trying to turn into mob rule and elite control.
Your side had the last four years and drove this country straight toward the edge:
• Millions of illegal crossings, record fentanyl deaths, and cities overwhelmed with crime you refused to stop.
• Skyrocketing inflation that ate everyone’s paycheck.
• Lawfare against political opponents, censorship with Big Tech, and installing a candidate no one voted for.
That was the real threat to self-government.
Since the voters ended your Democratic reign and put President Trump back in office, we’ve already come a long way back:
Border apprehensions have crashed over 90% to historic lows — the most secure southern border in decades. No more catch-and-release flooding communities. Deportations are removing criminals instead of releasing them.
The president actually respects the Constitution, the election results, and the rule of law — unlike the constant attacks on both from your party.
We’re not on the “precipice.” We pulled back from the one you helped create. America is healing because we rejected your failed policies. Stop projecting your disasters onto the guy who’s fixing them.
The people have spoken — twice. Deal with it.

We just celebrated the 250th anniversary of self-government, this amazing idea that has guided us for two and a half centuries. It's on the precipice of falling apart because of a president who has no respect for democracy.

Sometimes I exaggerate or say things for views. This is not one of those times. When you declare neutrality in every single World War like Belgium has done and rely on the United States to save your ass you lose your right to complain about an overturned red card 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️
