The Housemaid is WILD. The first half leans into camp in the best possible way. It is playful, stylish, and an absolute blast before the film takes a sharp, gripping turn that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney are phenomenal as two women carrying more secrets than they let on, and watching them interact only adds to the fun. It also has big Paul Feig energy. If you are a fan of his films like A Simple Favor, I think you will totally dig this one. I will say that it definitely has some Promising Young Woman vibes, which is a big reason why I was so into it.
