The world has truly gone mad: #Starmer admitted in parliament he appointed #Mandelson despite knowing that he knew he was friends with a paedophile? In any other workplace this would end discussion immediately. Shame on any @UKLabour if they vote against full disclosure.

@Lord_Sugar Just say bollocks to the lot of them Alan and don’t dignify them with your time. Negative critics create misery and will never know what the thrills of the ups and downs of life are really like from where they stand - on the sidelines. Read: Man in the arena speech

IF IT'S NOT BROKE DON'T FIX IT. The media seem to think The Apprentice format is stale. I compare it to football. The rules are the same every game, but something special happens every game. That something is different players every season. We inspire young people every year. @bbcapprentice

I’m disappointed that he’s not yet said anything about the current season of The Traitors. Unforgivable.

Trump now been on his feet for almost an hour. Now in rambling mode, darting from subject to subject on whatever takes his fancy. It’s painful to watch/hear. But I’m quietly repeating … the Greenland invasion is off, the Greenland invasion is off. That’s what matters.

Could someone please mark my cards as to why Sir David Beckham should appear at the WEF in Davos as a business luminary? He may own Inter Miami, but a business icon? What have I missed? Perhaps I am naive

.@thameswater dreadful lack of communication from you. Virtually no water for 24 hours in my road in Buckhurst Hill. When will it be fixed? When will you issue a refund for loss of service?

Love it Al 😊👊🏼 While big areas of our society are ignoring the seismic events happening inside Iran, heartening to see mates in the comedy community (especially the viscerally clever and brilliantly funny ones) displaying clear support for #IranianRevolution2026

As @YvetteCooperMP sets out in her letter, the historic tweets by Alaa Abd El-Fattah are absolutely abhorrent. With the rise of antisemitism, and recent horrific attacks, I know this has added to the distress of many in the Jewish community in the UK. We are taking steps to review the information failures in this case.

@EssexPR The governments total idiocy here doesn’t come even close to describing how utterly half-baked and ‘make it up as you go along’ amateur they are.

@afneil Andrew, he’s all about the clicks and the foolishness he comes out with is indicative of a man that knows he’ll never get the keys to number 10.

So the point of the BBC in your view is to stop Farage/Reform. Can you explain why the 30%+ currently telling pollsters they plan to vote Farage/Reform should, by your logic, continue to pay their licence fees? How can the BBC claim to be impartial and yet be tasked by people like you to secure a particular political end? Have you really thought this through? Or is there water in the brain from all these silly stunts?
Ed Davey@EdwardJDavey

The resignations of Tim Davie and Deborah Turness must be a chance for the BBC to turn a new leaf, rebuild trust and not give in to those like Nigel Farage who want to destroy it. We must stand up for a strong, independent BBC, to stop Trump’s America becoming Farage's Britain.

#BBC At least DG & CEO had the decency to take accountability and resign. That’s something our snivelling politicians rarely do. Please take note @UKLabour and @Conservatives
