@CISFAirport Thank you for doing such a great job, and so thankless too. I saw Abhay Kr Rai doing a meticulous job reopening bags in the ‘red’ or rechecking line with courtesy and efficiency. You men and women keep us safe. God bless you always. And thank you for your service

I worked for a company once that had a similar notion after an M&A. The idea was to do one big layoff and get it over with. The idea, eliminating uncertainty, sounded good on paper. In reality, it was a disaster. It raised fears exponentially. And then people got mad. The idea for the product based on that aqusisition flopped. Couldn’t sell it. A cascade of problems followed. Some of them related and some of them weren’t. But it put the company in a hard place. They eventually sold (sold out) to their largest competitor who undoubtedly had a weaker and poorly developed product. And then there’s Salesforce, which is on record, saying they regret their AI layoffs. And a Forrester survey finding a majority of leaders regret their mass layoffs because, AI. The same execs that treat their people as expendable are the same ones who describe their company as “family” and “team” and “community.” The preponderance of evidence that’s piling up suggests this is not going to end well. AI is a great tool. It turns 1 SME into 1.25 SMEs. It’s great at specific tasks but it cannot do a “job.” AI falls very short of Descartes’ philosophy.

we're making @blocks smaller today. here's my note to the company. #### today we're making one of the hardest decisions in the history of our company: we're reducing our organization by nearly half, from over 10,000 people to just under 6,000. that means over 4,000 of you are being asked to leave or entering into consultation. i'll be straight about what's happening, why, and what it means for everyone. first off, if you're one of the people affected, you'll receive your salary for 20 weeks + 1 week per year of tenure, equity vested through the end of may, 6 months of health care, your corporate devices, and $5,000 to put toward whatever you need to help you in this transition (if you’re outside the U.S. you’ll receive similar support but exact details are going to vary based on local requirements). i want you to know that before anything else. everyone will be notified today, whether you're being asked to leave, entering consultation, or asked to stay. we're not making this decision because we're in trouble. our business is strong. gross profit continues to grow, we continue to serve more and more customers, and profitability is improving. but something has changed. we're already seeing that the intelligence tools we’re creating and using, paired with smaller and flatter teams, are enabling a new way of working which fundamentally changes what it means to build and run a company. and that's accelerating rapidly. i had two options: cut gradually over months or years as this shift plays out, or be honest about where we are and act on it now. i chose the latter. repeated rounds of cuts are destructive to morale, to focus, and to the trust that customers and shareholders place in our ability to lead. i'd rather take a hard, clear action now and build from a position we believe in than manage a slow reduction of people toward the same outcome. a smaller company also gives us the space to grow our business the right way, on our own terms, instead of constantly reacting to market pressures. a decision at this scale carries risk. but so does standing still. we've done a full review to determine the roles and people we require to reliably grow the business from here, and we've pressure-tested those decisions from multiple angles. i accept that we may have gotten some of them wrong, and we've built in flexibility to account for that, and do the right thing for our customers. we're not going to just disappear people from slack and email and pretend they were never here. communication channels will stay open through thursday evening (pacific) so everyone can say goodbye properly, and share whatever you wish. i'll also be hosting a live video session to thank everyone at 3:35pm pacific. i know doing it this way might feel awkward. i'd rather it feel awkward and human than efficient and cold. to those of you leaving…i’m grateful for you, and i’m sorry to put you through this. you built what this company is today. that's a fact that i'll honor forever. this decision is not a reflection of what you contributed. you will be a great contributor to any organization going forward. to those staying…i made this decision, and i'll own it. what i'm asking of you is to build with me. we're going to build this company with intelligence at the core of everything we do. how we work, how we create, how we serve our customers. our customers will feel this shift too, and we're going to help them navigate it: towards a future where they can build their own features directly, composed of our capabilities and served through our interfaces. that's what i'm focused on now. expect a note from me tomorrow. jack

On Arattai, we have initiated discussions with Sharad Sharma of iSpirt, the group that did the technical work to make UPI happen, to standardize and publish the messaging protocols. I am a huge fan of UPI and hugely respect the work the team did. Sharad is a good friend and he will guide us in this objective. These systems need to be interoperable like UPI and email and not closed like WhatsApp today. We do not want to be a monopoly ever. We are committed to that goal and we will work with iSpirt to make this happen.

@RoshanKrRaii @IndiGo6E All the sanctimonious propaganda id**ts need to shut up. This is just a plain and simple, terribly and COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE, individual act. Shame on the man who slapped him. He needs to be put behind bars and made an example of.

Class- Nursery Fees - Rs 2,51,000/- Now, learning ABCD will cost you Rs 21,000 per month. What are these schools even teaching to justify such a ridiculously high fee?

Outstanding win in Birmingham. While this should be remembered as the Shubman Gill Test match for his incredible 430 runs, but the efforts from Siraj in the first innings and Akash Deep in both innings on a surface which didn’t have much for the bowlers was an outstanding effort. Well done team.

@RamKakani @iimraipur Loved having you on the show, dear Dr @RamKakani ji. It was an inspiring and very rewarding experience for me. Your approach of treating investments in, and care of the respected @iimraipur, like it were a Pipal tree of a 300-year lifespan, is humbling. This is what India needs.

I’m overjoyed to share that my daughter Sara Tendulkar has joined the @STF_India as Director. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition from University College London. As she embarks on this journey to empower India through sports, healthcare, and education, it serves as a reminder of how global learning can come full circle. #SachinTendulkarFoundation #STF

Just watched Gambhir in the press conference. May be wise for @BCCI to keep him away from such duties, let him work behind the scenes. He does not have the right demeanour nor the words when interacting with them. Rohit & Agarkar, much better guys to front up for the media.
