#almakonnect #IITK witnessed a jampacked #session for its highly anticipated #talk by Mr. Pawan Kadyan, IAS, and Mr. Aditya Srivastava on "#IAS Talk: Stories and Success". #Career #guidance talk by both civil administrators followed by an #engaging Q&A session, was a truly #enlightening and #inspiring #experience for students. The session left the students not just #informed, but ignited a #desire to #explore the possibility of joining civil services in future. We thank Outreach Cell, IIT Kanpur, Public Policy & Opinion Cell, and EEA for helping us organize this talk.

Bengal Global Business Summit, in its 7th edition in 2023, has come to an end today with fabulous pledges for investments in Bengal from captains of industry. In total, a sum of Rs. 3,76,288 crore has been the investment promise made by the international and national business persons present in the Summit. Attended by 400 international delegates, representatives from 17 partner countries, business and official delegations from nearly 40 countries and 15 Ambassadors and High Commissioners from different countries, this was a truly globally participatory event. 188 MoUs have been signed and a large number of new industrial policies for creating enabling environment have been announced. In sum, stupendous success!! Thanks to all!

𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯. The Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) 2023 is scheduled for November 21 and 22, culminating in a closing ceremony at the Dhana Dhanya Auditorium in Alipore, Kolkata. Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director, Mukesh Ambani, is expected to attend the event. The event will also see the attendance of prominent figures from companies such as ITC, Ambuja Neotia, and the Hiranandani Group. Meanwhile, the attendance of Gautam Adani, the chairperson of Adani Group, remains uncertain; representatives from the group are slated to be in attendance. Other notable industrialists expected at the event include Sanjeev Goenka, Sanjeev Puri, Purnendu Chattopadhyay, Harshvardhan Neotia, and Sajjan Jindal. Government of West Bengal government, in the presence of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, will announce several policy measures at a summit in order to attract investments. Luxembourg, the partner country for this year's BGBS with an 18-member delegation, is said to focus primarily on the energy and manufacturing sectors for investments.

Nestasia primarily operates online; however, they have opened their first offline store near Russell Street, Kolkata. The company employs over 75 people with an annual revenue of upwards of $2.98 million. The company claimed to have ended FY22 with net revenue of ₹21.8 crore. The total funding received is over $4 million, and the valuation of Nestasia is set at $26.2 million as of 2022.
