D'Y'know what pissed me off? All these feicin' "celebrities" that are entirely silent on the Irish fuel protests. All the wankers, especially the Irish ones, who built their entire career off the backs of the troubles, and the struggles, and alm their songs about the rebellion and the black n tans and bloody Sunday, and all their endless sanctimonious utter shite, and now the grandchildren of all those rebels face the same battles and tyranny, they're all so silent you could hear a spider fart. Where's Bob fking Geldolf and that gobshite Bono? Where are they all? Cant they see its the same fight, for the same reasons, just this time their own government? Absolute fking cowardly nut-sackless gobshites, all of them.

‼️ 🚨 DAY 5 🚨‼️ Please take a moment to repost 🇮🇪 Brothers and sisters of Ireland 🇮🇪 Five days on the roads. Five days of a nation holding its ground. Five days of voices that refuse to be ignored. But today the tone shifted. What began as a peaceful gathering has now been met with force. We have seen scenes that have shaken people across this country. Clashes between those standing their ground and the tyrants sent to remove them. Videos have surfaced online people being pepper sprayed, farmers being pulled from their tractors, the army being deployed to remove Tractors, heavy handed actions on peaceful protestors. And now, there is talk of even greater escalation, of stronger measures, of the state stepping in with increased force to clear the roads. Let us be clear This is not how a government should respond to its own people. These are not enemies of the state. These are workers. These are farmers. These are families. People who built this country now finding themselves face to face with the full weight of authority. And for what For asking to be heard. For asking to be able to afford to live. For standing in protest after years of being pushed to the edge. The traitors in government , we say this Every action you take now matters. Every decision to escalate rather than engage pushes this country further from resolution and closer to division. Force will not solve this. Silencing people will not solve this. Dragging them from the roads without listening will not solve this. Only leadership will. Only communication will. Only respect for the people who put you in power will. And to the people of Ireland, I say this Stay strong. Stay united. But above all, stay peaceful. Because the strength of this movement has always been in its unity and its discipline. Do not let frustration be turned against you. Do not let anger be used to discredit your cause. Stand firm but stand with dignity. Because the world is watching now. Day five has shown us something important This is no longer just about fuel, Living costs or policies . This is about how a government responds when its people say enough. You, in government, must now decide Will you listen Or will you continue down a path that deepens this divide Because the people are not going away. Five days have proven that. And if anything, they are more determined than ever. This is Ireland. And its people will not be pushed aside. Moving to Thailand is a cliché. But it’s cliché for a reason. It’s a great place to live. But if you want to enjoy a decent quality of life, it’s nowhere near as cheap as people think. You will grow sick and tired of beer, Chang, and 50 bhat street food.

Singing is a great skill to learn when trying to master the art or living in harmony with the universe. In the improvisational icaros (spiritual songs) of Shipibo shaman there’s a line they often sing near the beginning that goes something like: “ea ronki bewai” Which translates as something like: “I have heard that I am singing.” It invokes the idea that you, the singer, are listening in a receptive way to the songs sung through you rather than actively singing them yourself. You are giving way to the broader current of life and allowing your voice to be a vessel for it. I think there’s is a beautiful lesson embedded in this on how to live life in general. That is, we can learn to experience life as an improvisational song that is being sung through us. Our job then is not to struggle or develop singing skill. But rather to listen receptively to life’s melodies, harmonies, and timbres as they are sung through us. And in doing so, receiving the kind of messages that can be communicated in music but never fully in words.

Theres apparently* a Rumi quote that goes: "Make everything within you an ear, each atom of your being, and you will hear at every moment what the Source is whispering to you" Regardless of whether one believes in something correlating to “Source” or not, I believe it is a beautiful practice to “make everything within you an ear.” That is, to learn how to approach life primarily through the lens of receptivity and sensitivity. To listen out for the subtle melodic messages embedded within every moment of experience. In this way, our experiences, our life and all the people around us all become teachers who we are students of. In my own experience, the more we do this, the more sensitive we come to the various subtle currents of life and being. We can start to experience much of the intelligence embedded in experience and life that we usually crowd out with our constant thoughts and constant activity. Some times these currents may seem to come from within, sometimes from without. Increasingly, as we learn to listen well, the distinction between within and without will start to collapse. —— *I say “apparently” wrt the Rumi quote as apparently a lot of Rumi quotes are not very faithful translation, esp often downplaying the Sufi tone of the original (eg I would guess the word being translated here as “Source” is likely either the Persian “khodā” or the Arabic “Allah”, both of which obviously have more loaded connotations than just “Source.”

@karaokecomputer @Shiva_swordigo I thought music was haram in Islam? If he plays as a Persian, why would he place himself in harms way and not be pro-regime change? My questions are legit but I also know I am kicking a bonfire here.
