In Feb, we were trying to call an NRI friend to invite him to a function but he did not answer our calls for a good 3-4 days. We showed up at his house and what he told us was bone chilling. He said he had been avoiding calls from unknown numbers since the day he landed because any unknown caller could be a criminal/gangster threatening him for ransom. Such is law and order situation in state.
