Shaw is being pompous and disingenuous here. He says nobody is “forcing” the SSPX to travel to Paris instead of Chartes for pilgrimage. Except that I take it SSPX clergy are not allowed to say masses at Chartres? So instead of SSPX laity walking with their own priests, Shaw says they can just abandon them and walk with stranger priests in the other direction and assist at their Masses instead? OR the Society could just cave, accept the Bergoglian Revolution, and sign on the dotted line with Tucho and go to Chartres. Therefore, Shaw concludes nobody is FORCING them to walk to Paris in the opposite direction so they can say Mass in their own church. What utter arrogance and complete and total lack of compassion for fellow Traditional Catholics. On top of the disingenuous nature of saying they are not forced to go to Paris.

@Mwarning515 Nearly of those who have worked to undermine dogma over the past 200+ years have been “cradle Catholics.” The “cradle Catholic” demographic today also hear Mass the least; & hold the false teachings of the world the most.

With the new breviary coming out next Lent, Pentecost Vespers just now is the last time I'll use that volume. Just pur my old Vol II away forever. 🥲

@KaiserLoengramm I'm a canon lawyer. I'd be happy to discuss this with you and answer any questions about the Catholic Church's legal system. The short answer is: An invalid contract does not bind. Judicial inquiries to ascertain invalidity do not produce it retroactively.

Outlining one of many reasons why in no world will I ever be a catholic, as this is the most absurd legalism possible, and this runs throughout all their marital doctrine. “Never ever ever will we allow divorce, however you can have an annulment, where we declare retroactively the marriage to have never existed but also all children within said nonexistent marriage remain legitimate as if the marriage had existed.” It makes no sense and there are many other examples I can give.

So here's my situation: - We had a wedding 23 years ago in the Episcopal Church. - I was Catholic, she was not - Was assured at the time that the marriage would be "valid, yet irregular" - She converted to Catholicism 12 years ago - No one cared or found a problem at Catholic Churches we attended with our marriage which produced four children - Move to a traditional Church - Marriage found to be invalid - Ordered to cease marital relations until marriage can be convalidated. Am I allowed to kiss my long-term live-in girlfriend?

@Cangrande03 Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is a worse culprit, imho. "Quod non fecerunt barbari, fecerunt Barberini."

I am against the restoration projects of the gov’t. These facades were once built in a time of Imperial Catholic authority, who were then brutally murdered, and are now revived for pastiche tourist sentiment and to be utilized by a gov’t who has no clue of its original meaning.

This is an apt image to describe Intramuros today, what once hosted great men of power and a piece of Europe in the east, is now a place of squalor where they live ignorant of it’s significance. Calle Real is now just a “Daanan”. Intramuros Today:

@tweetmobb You might be disappointed. I was. It scarcely tastes like coriander -- more like green Froot Loops.

The air is clear enough that I can see the Mount Samat Cross from Quezon City. And with the sun setting, I can see the Zambales Range, too. Good weather today.

@SandyofCthulhu In Wisconsin, I imagine the starters would be a squirrel, a bluegill, and a robin. Holsteins, muskies, and whitetails would be higher-level Pokemon.

At the annual renewal seminar for EMHCs. Our bishop holds a JCD and he's telling us about the errors of Rudolf Sohm. Good stuff.

Vatican 2 did produce a new religion. It’s called sedevacantism. Its adherents are largely made up of autistic people who spend every waking moment obsessing on the New Mass and liturgy. They don’t agree with each other about anything other than they hate the Novus Ordo.
St AnthonyPadua Radtrad 🪑🌶️@StARadtrad

If you can’t see that the Novus Ordo is a new religion you either know nothing of pre Vatican 2 Catholicism or you host a podcast
