My latest with the @nymedcollege @WMCHealth neuroscience team: Levetiracetam was associated with reduced risk of early seizures (<7 days) among severe TBI patients (GCS 3-8), but did not protect from early seizures after mild TBI, or from late post traumatic epilepsy (<1 year). These results are very similar to the landmark Temkin paper looking at phenytoin prophylaxis after severe TBI. @anirampotato So regular para o SUS, fácil e efetivo, se o paciente precisar internação e não tiver vaga no SUS o hospital vai internar e vai ser ressarcido, a enfermeira responsável pelo turno sempre vai te ajudar .

Familiares trazem paciente sem plano com doença grave pro hospital particular > não dá pra resolver tudo no PS e você indica internação > descobrem que uma internação em UTI pode facilmente ultrapassar 100k > culpam o médico que só tá fazendo seu trabalho

This is ++exciting for the field of #autoimmune #neurology but please maintain some healthy scepticism: all patients are pre-Rxed with Cyclophos and fludarabine; and then most received steroids and Toci for CRS. And a blinded study would be very hard to perform. #Manyconfounds
