Imagine coming up with a proposal so stupid, so unworkable, so thoughtless, that it makes Robert Jenrick look sane by comparison.

HUGELY embarrassing statement from @RachelReevesMP who seems to think she can still get away with blaming the last lot for the mess we are in. We see you, Chancellor. It just isn't going to fly.

@SayeedaWarsi From Grok: "Jews/Sikhs don’t choose ethnic status - it’s imposed & that’s why the law protects them as a race. Muslims are multi-ethnic & belief-based, so they can’t be an ethnic group. Not extra protection - it’s recognition of immutable targeting"

Everyone in our country should be equal before the law. Jews and Sikhs have protection and privileges both as a religious community and a racial community and so must Muslims, Christians and others.

‘I’ve always felt people underestimated me, as a girl, as a girl who went to the local state school.’ @RachelReevesMP they are your values, your issues, not ours. Your sense of injustice. Your perception. Your conditions of worth. Deal with it personally.

“25,000 pupils forced out of private schools since Labour took power. The decline in pupil numbers since the GE is now at least 25,000 –over EIGHT TIMES the fall the Government predicted by this point. It is clear their sums do not add up on this policy.” telegraph.co.uk/money/tax/news…

@Pedrobigears @LaurenD59234535 @MattRodda You mean you’d rather feed rich kids than forgo tax on the education of disabled children but you do you. When is it a crime to do the best for your kids? Isn’t that what parents are meant to do? Or are we all meant to raise our kids similar to a child in the worst position?

Didn’t @MattRodda write a paper on the disruption caused to children when they move schools mid academic year? Matt then voted to tax children mid academic year & disrupt their education. How dare you claim to widen opportunities as you slam the door for thousands of children.
Bridget Phillipson@bphillipsonMP

Fantastic to visit UTC Reading today with @MattRodda. Inspiring to hear students’ journeys & future plans, and to see teachers’ brilliant support in STEM. As Deputy Leader, I’ll keep working to widen opportunities for young people across the country.

@vickygrayson_ Those schools would have closed anyway. They're private businesses. They compete in a market. Some thrive. Some fail. Economics 1.01!

“Starmer’s record is disastrous across the board. But in few areas has he been so blatantly destructive as in education. The imposition of VAT on school fees has forced the closure of ~54 independent schools with more to come -an act of pure spite.” dailymail.co.uk/debate/article…

Starmer is so weak, that he is happy to reward Hamas for kidnap, rape and murder, embolden terrorists globally and stab our allies in the back, Just so he can buy himself some Muslim votes and not lose to Gaza independents

More dishonesty from the government: 1/ The Rwanda deal never started because Labour cancelled it 2 weeks before the first flight was due to take off. As a consequence, this year has been the worst in history for illegal channel crossings (including 1,072 yesterday alone) 2/ Most of the 35,000 were voluntary and virtually none had arrived by crossing the channel 3/ The meagre France deal, even if scaled as planned, will still allow 94% of illegal channel immigrants to stay. That is obviously not a deterrent at all
Mike Tapp MP@MikeTappTweets

Our returns agreement with France is being deliberately misrepresented by bad faith actors who don’t want secure borders. It's a pilot. We're building it where the previous Government failed. These are critical first steps. We’ve already removed 35,000+ and this France deal will act as a further deterrent as it grows. We will do what it takes to secure our borders. In contrast: the Rwanda deal removed 4 volunteers over 2 years.

@Pedrobigears @MattRodda How could a child find a state school place & leave their private school without penalty by Sept 2025? Should they have given notice before the General Election? Or in July during the school holidays? Do you think the parents of kids in stuck state schools are irresponsible?

Anyone who holidays in a country from which they have “fled” and claimed asylum must, by definition, be deported to that country. The era of mocking the British people, taking advantage of kindness and tolerance, will soon be over.
