Fun fact from Bitcoin history 🧠 The smallest unit of Bitcoin was not always called a satoshi. Satoshi himself never named it. His original code only defined two units, COIN and CENT. That is it. The word satoshi appears nowhere in his code as a unit name. The proof is still live today. Go to Bitcoin's source code on GitHub and open the file src/consensus/amount.h and you will see COIN = 100000000 sitting right there. Earlier versions of the same file carried CENT = 1000000 next to it. github.com/bitcoin/bitcoi… The name came from the community 2 years after launch. On Nov 15, 2010 a forum user named ribuck proposed calling 0.01 BTC a satoshi, not even the smallest unit. In Feb 2011 he reproposed it for the smallest unit, and on Feb 18, 2011 someone posted 100 million satoshis = 1 bitcoin, are we agreed? One reply came back, affirmative. That was it. One thing I’ve learned from my short investment journey is that the market gives you more opportunities than you might think. This years lesson for me has been all about patience. It fucking sucks but I’m so glad I didn’t blow all my savings this year catching a falling knife. Now I feel ready to start taking advantage of some of these opportunities with less emotion & a clearer mind.

you must believe you are special and then go so hard, for so long, with such violent refusal to accept any other ending, that reality itself starts running out of ways to tell you no. you must wage a war daily against the ordinary outcome, until the belief you invented out of nothing in a room by yourself has been hammered into the world so many times that it stops being a claim and becomes reality.
