Candie, solitary survivor, spent 1,168 days on Rikers and 1,122 of those days were spent in solitary. Candie wasn’t given food, a bed, she was sexually assaulted by DOC staff, and suffers from nightmares. She’s here to today to end the torture ppl continue to experience.

@BennyBoscio strange how you create the false narrative that jail guards are in so much danger yet those they are supposed to monitor are dying! Something isn’t adding up. You owe the tax payers an explanation, they do pay your salary!

I had a wonderful time visiting MD1, the Brooklyn Mental Health Court, with @BrooklynDA and the wonderful and deeply experienced Judge Matthew D’Emic, who oversees the Part. Brooklyn’s court is a leader in the country for treatment based judicial diversion.
