Juneteenth is a day to commemorate emancipation, to reflect on the hard, often painful truths of our shared history, and to celebrate the progress we've made on the long road toward freedom — not just as Pennsylvanians, but as Americans. But progress isn’t automatic. It requires effort. It requires vigilance. Each of us has a role to play. A responsibility to learn from our past, not to run from it — to grow, to strive, and to build something better for the generations that follow. So today, as we celebrate Juneteenth, let’s not just honor the past — let's recommit to the work of justice, to expanding opportunity, and to making real the promise of freedom for every Pennsylvanian. Because Juneteenth isn’t just Black history — it’s American history. And it reminds us that the story of freedom is still being written.

This weekend, our family witnessed the incredible bravery and excellence of our first responders. The entire Shapiro family is eternally grateful for the @PAStatePolice troopers who safely evacuated our family from danger, the firefighters who quickly put out the fire at the Governor’s Residence, and the law enforcement officials who’ve worked to investigate this attack. From the bottom of all of our hearts, thank you.

Earlier this week, we had the honor of hosting Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner. We had a great conversation about his tenure and learned about the city’s efforts to fight crime. Thank you for joining us @Krasner4DA!

We had a great time making calls tonight for @MaloneForSenate and Dan Goughnour! These two PA Special Elections are crucial for @PADems to flip a State Senate seat and regain the House majority.
