To be absolutely clear: Spirit's collapse is a direct result of the skyrocketing oil prices caused by the Iran War. While the company may have had long simmering structural issues, it was the sudden price spike that tipped them into insolvency. "So again, I love that they try to play revisionist politics and try to come after Donald Trump again," Duffy whined. "What do they want, a nuclear Iran?" As has been explained ad nauseam in countless publications, Iran was not on the path to nuclear weapons. Trump's own intelligence agencies admitted as much. "I mean, they're blaming fuel prices, but you and I both know that Democrats love higher energy prices," Duffy added. "They fought for four years to give us higher energy prices. Look at California, $5, $6, $7, $8 a gallon, and now they're trying to blame Trump, who wanted American energy dominant." At this point, only the most hardcore MAGA supporters still believe these laughable lies. Trump's presidency is in free fall as a direct result of awful policy decisions.
