@susiecartledge @VLine Oh dear, Susie. I hope you finally get home soon! I did the GVBR with a friend in 2004 - finished in Geelong. At the last minute, there was a platform change to the train we were to get. A station staff member helped us take a non-stairs route with bike + luggage each!

@scottjla It'd be great if @AusElectoralCom made at least one pre-poll and election day polling place completely free from all the party signage with *no-one* handing out HTV cards - if not everywhere.

@scottjla If there was only a queue to vote at polling places, I'd vote in person. I'm autistic, and found people standing near the entrance to pre-poll very intimidating in 2016 - so since then, I've always done a postal vote to avoid the "how to vote card" people. 1/2

The amount of people and signs near polling stations in Australia is getting absurd now. It used to be an enjoyable process complete with a democracy sausage. Elderly and vulnerable people must find the process quite intimidating. I think it's time we banned all this within 100m of polling stations. Other countries don't allow it, parties are pushing things too far something needs to be done about it.
