Double-jabbed, I live alone, had it last year, mask up in shops, and generally don't see very many people at all. Somehow, I still managed to get it again. It is nasty, debilitating, and it certainly isn't all over. Be kind to each other and protect each other as best you can.

My grandparents lived in Arizona and we spent a lot of time with them there. I’m pretty sure the sight of this toppled saguaro would’ve made Harold and Rosie cry. My affection for the desert is deep and enduring and this makes me equal parts angry and sad.

.@DHSgov continues to topple ancient saguaro cactuses for #BorderWall construction at Organ Pipe. An arm on this giant had just started to fruit before it was bulldozed over. Saguaros are deeply sacred to the Tohono O’odham, who have fought the wall strenuously from day one.
