@Arrrrash They had soft gear based MM and account level MM in the closed alpha and I think they still use it. I have never seen purple shields in my bracket as a mostly freekit player except when I played trios with a higher level friend.

I wonder if Marathon needs to implement a loadout max value for some of the early maps. As some teams are getting absolutely juiced from Cryo and possibly ranked I can’t imagine newer players who are just trying to do contracts on perimeter are going to have much fun if they just get farmed by dudes with gold loadouts What do you guys think?

I think the same scaffolding can also be used for reviewing others changes (what I try to do work). I guess riskier in public life where pulling someone's changes to review them locally is a security risk? But a great use case for sandboxing as another layer of testing? Validate the code uses the files/dependencies/remotes it claims it needs.

You didn't have to reply. I'm just answering your question. Based on their roadmap they maybe have another map in dev cycle right now. It would be a bad idea for it to be another cryo archive style map (doesn't mean it isn't). Probably for release late season 2 or with 3. I don't think they make it past 3 without at least restructuring. Which is to say I don't think it goes anywhere.

@RyGilliam The map encourages juicers to quickly exit their spawn wing and then pick off slower teams as they enter accumulating their clearance and keys. At least that's how it seemed watching shroud

How are people feeling about third-parties in Cryo? I've never had a problem with third-parties on any of the other maps, and actually enjoy how often they happen. Maybe we just got really unlucky today, but we have been getting instantly rushed and smashed after every fight.

Closing notes: I'm not attacking anyone who likes solos or Marathon. Enjoy what you enjoy I'd advise using solo for Prio contracts and quickly learning the game to start putting yourself out there to find trios EXPECT TRIO FILL QUEUE to be hell💀 trio premade > solo > trio fill

Marathon Solo I got through 90% of the progression, all priority contracts done, and all rook upgrades✅ Solo is very profitable & easy for both rush strategies and ratting. It allows for learning the map at your own pace at no expense to your team. I still wouldn't reccomend🧵

@PerfectlyFriedB What's been really interesting to see is that initial male respondents were overwhelmingly No votes. Like the first 10 votes were ~9:1. But now it's almost 1:1. Presumably people who use Twitter more often are super based and prioritized honing their posting skills during college

@PerfectlyFriedB My sister worked at a daycare and lived at home for a while a few years back. There was one winter where she was literally bringing some new, insane plague into the family once a month that incapacitated everybody for two weeks. I ran out of sick time and we missed every holiday.

I'm starting to doubt the socialization from daycare is worth my daughter being seemingly constantly sick?
