Yeah, it kind of makes it all worth it if we get to live through something so incredible. These humanoids are going to learn from the actions of the entire fleet, so they will rapidly become experts in every field or task imaginable. As anger grows about AI data centers cropping up like weeds, seeing a new wave of responses like, "Yeah! Data centers are awful! Let's get rid of AI and the entire internet!" This is called argumentative derailment. Seems to be the new bot directive to muddy geniune sentiment.

I get the need to want to sound like a cool contrarian person here on the app with statements like this (no animosity towards OP, just seen many such posts like this) but it’s exhausting Nuclear doesn’t solve your near term power issues as the projects take so long to get built (likely 10+ years in the West) so it’s mostly just posturing to get pro-nuclear kudos from that crowd And that US constituent polling data shows it’d be nearly impossible to get it through nimby-ism which is adverse to both (whether right or wrong - I’d argue very wrong so I’m on your side); thus, it’s not even realistic So let’s start focusing on how we can either i) build nuclear reliably and build an operational track record domestically across a multi-decade timescale for future needs or ii) figure out how to alleviate the data center time to power issues in more productive ways (non-firm capacity with utes for faster interconnect, demand response, bess, various BTM generator setups, etc) to accelerate the next 3-5 years; both of which are DIFFERENT timescale problems but it’s more productive than the impossible task of changing everyone’s mind on this + no where near the operational reality of being able to do so meaningfully contribute to solving the issue near term Thanks for coming to my Ted talk
