@PerriLewis Hi Perri, so sorry for the confusion. The bed doesn't come with a mattress, the text is trying to convey that the Thea Ottoman bed frame and slats are so comfy and strong that any mattress will work well, you don't need to splash out on a fancy ultra-lux one. Kind regards, Bryony
