Hon. Alice Wahome, EGH
The Hon Rigathi Gachagua former Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, your recent criticism of the Government propelled by disbelief that H.E Dr William Ruto the President of the Republic of Kenya was able to host over 30 Heads of States and Governments has exposed you badly . You are a walking time bomb. You will blow yourself and your team in an attempt to reach H.E Ruto. And make no mistake. That is an impossible mission. You criticize UN Secretary General and President Macron in one Statement and then tell us you are taking us Kenyans somewhere. Apana!

They're now calling him mumu for holding a glass of wine like a cup of mursik. Affordable bloggers on the other end are saying his full commitment to serving God and building churches for Yehova Wanyonyi has denied him an opportunity to beat sherehe where wine is served in lieu of land hence very unskilled in clinking glasses. Buana there's no president who has been ridiculed like our son from Kamagut. Even Wamunyoro and the bushman from Nyandarua got the confidence to accuse him of being ugly,,, Nyasaye!! And for the mistake of holding the wine glass like a stainless rukagío, we've added that to the WANTAM basket. Chesaa!!

How did Ruto manage to convince French President and over 30 African heads of states to come to Kenya? There's something special about Ruto that the world sees but Kenyans don't

We see things differently in this country. What I see here is a clear message to the world that the streets of Nairobi are safe. Safe enough even for the president of the second-largest economy in the EU to go for a run. A city branded as a livable, breathable space where a world leader feels entirely comfortable. To any observer, this level of accessibility is far more convincing than a formal speech about the ease of doing business. Of course, others may see it differently, and it's okay.

Hehe! Just three months ago, Ruto told Kenyans that his administration would abolish PAYE for workers earning KSh 30,000 and below, stating that this had become possible because he has stabilized the economy. Today, when Treasury CS John Mbadi was asked why the President’s promise does not feature in the Finance Bill 2026, alizungusha journalists na Kizungu mingi, trying to explain why such a promise is not possible under the current economic realities.

I once worked for an American company whose annual revenue was nearly 50% of Kenya’s entire GDP. The company wanted to set up a manufacturing plant in Kenya and even sent its Vice President to explore the opportunity. Do you know the VP couldn’t even secure a meeting with the Health CS? Gatekeepers blocked discussions before they could even begin. Everyone wanted their share first. The VP flew to Ethiopia instead. He was welcomed like a head of state. Imagine the jobs, technology transfer, exports, taxes, supplier networks, and investor confidence Kenya lost because of a few selfish individuals protecting personal interests. Dangote has been here before. He ended up setting a massive cement manufacturing plant in Ethiopia. Those government officials don’t care as long as they can’t see their share.

I’ve cried writing this message and it has set me free. I’ve never expressed myself how I truly feel to my mother. She will read it and have sudden diarrhea in traffic. It’s good letting these parents know how they make you feel. Not so happy Mother’s Day to mothers like mine.

Mzee Chege from Olkalau touched the hearts of many Kenyans. He was seen walking his two children to school in worn out clothes and gumboots. Life has been very hard for this father. He works long hours at a quarry to take care of his two children and elderly mother on his own. More than 13 years ago his wife left the family and never came back. She has shown no interest in their lives since then. Mzee Chege has been raising the children alone in a small single room mabati house. During school holidays his daughter and son shared a three seater sofa as their bed. His daughter is now in high school. Through all of this Mzee Chege never thought of leaving his children. The children understood their father's struggles and adapted to the hard life with hope that things would change one day. In the early years he would carry both children on his bicycle to the quarry. Things changed after a TikTok community came together and raised more than KSh 500,000. The money was used to buy the family new clothes utensils bedding and other household items. They were also moved into a fully furnished one bedroom house with electricity running water a bathroom toilet and kitchen. These were things they had never had before. For the first time the children watched television in their own living room. The family will stay in the house for three months while their permanent home is being built. Today the TikTok community and well wishers across Kenya are holding a fundraiser to help build Mzee Chege a proper permanent house. Relatives from his wife's side had been silent for over 13 years. They have now started reaching out and asking for forgiveness.

I missed my flight in Nairobi once because of traffic on Mombasa Road. Like fully missed it. I got to the airport sweaty, exhausted, dragging my suitcase like it personally betrayed me. I already knew there was no chance, but I still ran to the counter hoping for mercy. The woman checked her screen, looked at me, then said, “You were the last passenger.” I laughed a little because what else do you do at that point? Then she lowered her voice and said, “The plane is still on the ground.” Next thing I know this airport employee is SPEED WALKING me through the terminal like we’re in an action movie. Security waved me through, another worker grabbed my carry-on to help me run, and I’m apologizing to literally everyone while fighting for my life. I got to the gate completely out of breath. The guy scanning boarding passes looked at me and said, “Eh, Nairobi traffic. We understand.” People on the plane actually clapped when I walked in looking half dead. I have never respected airport workers more in my life. Big up to them.
