Sakuna opened Malevolent Shrine ⛩️ on many ports today, including mine. I’ll always be transparent about wins/losses on here + trading strategies/lessons I’ve learned along the way. Down 13% today & 6% on the week. Here’s what cooked me & what I learned. - I had good risk management. Cut when my positions were 30% and 10% down. Hope for a taco tweet is not a strategy. The options flow was bullish all day. Should have leaned into that more. Meaning stuck to what smart money was doing. Should not have traded while getting baby and wife into Uber and onto flight. Additional distractions. Down 6.2k in the day. But down 2k on the week. Not bad, not great. Had to add more funds and switch to a cash account to exit positions since I had 3 day trades in the last week. Don’t buy SPY options on OPEX before 3 PM. Max pain didn’t work this time. Noted. If buying calls on a Friday, weeklies are for scalping. Monthlies are for holding through the weekend. Last but not least, I’m going to remember today.

Need a sanity check for options mechanics. Spy dividend date is Thursday. Suppose I did this straddle on an "obvious" bull trap Selling $SPY 652 calls for Mar/28 Buying $SPY 687 puts for Mar/28 What happens to the premiums post dividend date? I hear they get crushed. Expectation: Puts are pricey but are propped up with high volume and hedging, whereas calls will get crushed first. True or false?

This week $NBIS outperformed $IREN in a huge stretch. I'm glad I sold more than 1/2 $IREN to $NBIS few weeks ago. My only regret I didn't do for all of it. Here's why... 1. NBIS revenue growth much higher than IREN 2.NBIS execution is more visible/software/ platform/customers/multiple platform DC. 3. IREN AI business is still small, and BTC mining is a huge drag. They obviously can't throw all those miners away, and must keep them running to end of life. 4. IREN depends on higher execution risk w/ Microsoft. Microsoft reserve the rights discontinue - my nightmare case. With lack of execution history on the AI side, this is difficult to stomach. 5. IREN atm risk is looming.
