I really don't like this trade. The compensation is fine, but Wicks is a guy I would have rather kept around. I'm mystified that this coaching staff couldn't make it work with him.

Losing Chandler is a tough blow for Mark Pope in a lot of ways
I think he is replaceable on the Basketball court but from a perception standpoint it hurts…especially after 10 days ago, it was assumed by everyone at UK he was returning

Hearing that both Mark Pope and John Calipari have privately vented that UK’s fanbase has negatively affected recruiting since 2020. Other schools use the fanbase and the negativity against UK and it has cost multiple elite recruits.
