@hockeydraft411 @BizNasty2point0 Fair enough. I really hated it and it showed to me how little non-Ken Drydens know about understanding the historical moment—not the hockey moment, the US-Canada relationship. But again, it is hockey.

@hockeydraft411 @BizNasty2point0 True. The thing is, it's woven not into the tapestry of hockey — Swedes, Finns, even Russians—but into what it means to be a hockey player in N. America. As Conn Smythe said, "If you can't beat 'em in the alley, you can't beat 'em on the ice." That was in the Jurassic period.

@PeteMcCormack2 @BizNasty2point0 Definitely, the CHL and other junior leagues should do their best to not encourage fights. It's a tough issue, because young guys are full of testosterone and they don't always make the best decisions.

@hockeydraft411 @BizNasty2point0 I will add, everyone I know loved the 4-Nation fights. They sure as hell weren't organic - planned it through text! —and just when Canada was being pushed around by our southern politicians. But I'm weird!

@PeteMcCormack2 @BizNasty2point0 Of course you're not wrong, but I still enjoy a good fight that is organic. That said, a player that engages in a fight should be aware of the possible consequences. Much like any pro athlete involved in a physical sport.

I've never seen that. And then 12 and 13. Strange. We'll see what they bring on Wednesday. But they were only a crossbar away from a win.

Around 2 decades ago, I first found this book. I also bought this book for a couple buddies that love the Habs. If you're a fan of vintage hockey from the 1970s, you'll love most likely love this book too.

It was the most fun I've ever had writing. Man, dreams were big back then. Never knew I'd write them down. I was supposed to be in the NHL but it turned out I was born with a piano tied to my ass. No one told me until it was too late.

I loved writing the book, but these days it's shocking for me to remember how much I (and so many of us) lived for hockey - like it was natural. Wild memories - and now we're going into OT.
