@natehendley @APanther369 I don’t think John was ever enthusiastic about the Sgt. Pepper album or the Magical Mystery Tour movie, but seemed to come back around more for the ‘White Album’. But it got worse for him with the Get Back sessions and he barely cared by the time they were recording Abbey Road.

@APanther369 A problem in the 1967 era onwards what that John disliked Paul's ideas and leadership, but was too lazy or stoned to offer any alternatives or take the reins himself. So, John went along with things, but grumbled endlessly afterwards.

The reason why Paul's "dictatorship" wasn't well received by the Beatles was because he just wanted to have a role like Brian Wilson. And he was their Brian Wilson, but the problem is the Beach Boys were used to being told what to do and the Beatles had always been collaborative.
