@arcuaria Looks great! Something you might like to do when you get a pot of basil is just to re-pot it into a larger pot. Loads more basil very quickly. Not so fiddly.

Ordered a basil plant on my grocery shop last week (with the intention of separating out the seedlings & making multiple basil plants) but they were out of stock & sent me 8 bags of basil instead. Made pesto. So fucking good 10/10.

@Petenotpeat It only takes about 3-4 days! This has been sitting at room temp in a special kimchi fermenting container I bought since Wednesday & I put it in the fridge this morning & it’s perfect!

Channeled all my weird sad energy into making bread and kimchi last week and now I am reaping the benefits of my labour because it was finally ready today so I had a kimchi cheese toastie for dinner

@arcuaria If I make a tomato/pepper based soup I roast them with garlic/onions/oil/seasonings. Makes skinning a doddle and concentrates the flavours.

Painstakingly skinned two punnets of cherry tomatoes because I needed to use them up and wanted to make soup but it was worth it because she is a BEAUTY

Fucked up a loaf yesterday and instead of chucking it I turned it into breadcrumbs and giant croutons. Made soup tonight with the green veg I had in my fridge that needed using up. No food waste in my gaff!!!
