@RalphyHeraldSun Why does St Kilda have any role at all here? It makes sense when the issue is a football charge (like a high bump). Doesn’t make much sense to me when it’s a misconduct charge.

St Kilda will wait until the penalty is handed down before considering a Collard appeal but if it is anywhere near the ten weeks the AFL asked for they will take it on. A junior barrister is on standby. The view is that it would come on top of his current two week VFL striking ban. They have warned the AFL the conduct unbecoming case is a very dangerous precent & is the kind of thing that could be abused by a club in the future approaching finals heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/st-k…

Lance Collard has been found guilty of using a homophobic slur towards an opponent. A sanction hearing will now be convened to determine the sanction at a date and time to be determined.

Unpopular opinion probably but Scott Pendlebury should not be let off for having am exemplary record, because he doesn't. He was fined for striking Lachie Neale only 2 years ago and avoided suspension already for being a good bloke. He burnt his free pass as far as im concerned
