@MrZachG I’m a big proponent of tinkering, but wonder if we are talking about the same thing. Tinkering is an approach. I believe it can be modeled and learned. I see tinkering as a process of iterative expolration of materials and techniques, driven by self-directed assessment.

@zacharywefel How is all that new housing in Florida going to be able to get insurance?

Dems who ran on protecting democracy but failed to build housing have failed on both counts.

Hey Democrats, I have some more unfortunate news for you. Here's what the electoral map looks like after the 2030 census. Republicans likely pick up TWELVE electoral votes through population growth.

@mcmansionhell Minnesotan here. Spent the day away from screens. I’m sort of afraid to ask.

@thisone0verhere I have been not going to DisneyWorld for almost 62 years.

@RadioFreeTom @JDVance1 @TheAtlantic That essay sure seems like a youthful indiscretion that can be dismissed with a little hand-waving.

Please REPLY if you are seeing "Zelenskyy Unmasked" ads in the US.
In FARA registrations, Ben Swann claims Russian millions are *not* for content targeting the the US.
So who is funding this massive advertising spend to attack #Ukraine?

Let’s go to the alligator! 🐊
I just love this little one, who hasn’t quite mastered the nuanced distinction between an “alligator” and an “elevator.”
These kinds of linguistic substitutions are very common among toddlers - sometimes because they’re still working to master the pronunciation of certain sounds and at others because they’re mapping new meanings onto similar words they already know.
Ask any toddler parent and they’ll tell you that these substitutions can yield some of parenthood’s most memorable laugh lines… not to mention lifelong family nicknames.
A favorite memory in our house was when our youngest returned home from preschool eager to share news of a new classmate called “Pooper” (turns out a child named Cooper had enrolled).
What about you? Did/does your little one have memorable substitutions? If so drop them in the thread below and drop a few likes on your favorites.
This fantastic video was shared to IG by laureneicher.

@RadioFreeTom Seems like a good time to remember these words from H. L. Mencken: "For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong."

@dailystem To my eyes, the dominoes are in an unnatural position. If the action is from left to right, the dominoes on the left would be down and those remaining upright would be on the right.

Tinkering with some #dailySTEM logos to make into stickers… here’s version 1.0 & 2.0
Any thoughts (or better ideas)?

@RadioFreeTom It seems that one of the problems with being a billionaire is that you can't hire people who will tell you what you don't want to hear.

@Trianglemancsd I’d like an invite. Ready to move on from this platform.

@Makersgen I estimate the maximum height to be around 9 to 10 meters.
