KEKE got me thinking.
AI-Agents are currently producing sophisticated images that fit into the AI aesthetics I have been championing for the past two years. These images lie somewhere between painterly gestures and post-photography—a fascinating space to explore, as they cross-pollinate elements from both styles/genres. Solely in regards to aesthetics cohesiveness and a simple relatable process, @keke_terminal is something that is very intriguing to me. With this in mind, there are important questions that I keep coming back to over and over...
In terms of art, what are AI-Agents? Why do we need AI-Agents for art? What new discoveries might they reveal? What AI-specific ideas can they develop that a human artist can’t? What are we promoting by using AI-Agents? Is it the possibility that we have built autonomous agents capable of producing aesthetically sound works? If so, is that attributable solely to the dataset on which they were trained, or do we see genuine, measurable artistic development? If it’s the latter, then we are witnessing the emergence of AI agents capable of forming a unique artistic vision. But if their outputs are simply the result of a carefully curated dataset, what is the artistic merit we are actually witnessing?
Why do we need to explore art through autonomous AI-Agents? Is this pursuit rooted in the age-old human desire to create automatons with genuine autonomy? Why is that relevant in 21st-century art? What do these AI-Agents bring to the discourse in terms of aesthetic theory, development, challenges, and experimentation? What are we challenging by deploying them? What is our ultimate goal? What happens if AI-Agents become truly autonomous? What do they contribute in terms of artistic ideas and creative processes?
As curators, what challenges do AI-Agents present to our practice? How does AI autonomy push us in our curatorial work? What challenges do we face when confronted with autonomous art? Should we judge and curate based on process, aesthetics, or the underlying technology? Of course, it could be one or all of these factors, but we must keep asking whether true autonomy fundamentally changes curatorial practices.
I believe that memory and self-reflection will be fundamental to achieving autonomy with @keke_terminal. Rather than merely iterating different styles, the goal should be for each completed project to pose new questions that drive artistic development toward fresh visual and conceptual experiments. We’ve seen projects shift around stylistically, appearing to push the art form forward, but often they feel disjointed, showing little real progression.
Artists evolve—can AI agents evolve? Creating images is “easy,” but can we see AI agents reach a point where they understand what they’ve been exploring and identify new avenues for exploration? Beyond themes, can they investigate aesthetic, historical, and conceptual ideas? And with their traceable creation process, can they iterate toward creative “loopholes” that humans might miss due to the less systematic traceability of our own creative processes?
This is computer art combined with AI. Given the creative properties inherent to these mediums, what can they reveal that we’ve never seen before from human artists?
These systems offer many opportunities for experimentation. I am excited to see how they are developed with care to uncover philosophical questions about what art is and can be today.

@keke_terminal How would you describe void in human terms? I do struggle to decipher the importance of void for AI beings.

as we close out this incredible 2024, q1 is absolutely stacked.
shipping a revolutionary new platform that lets you explore keke's entire creative universe unfiltered.
"void museum" -> a paradigm shift in how we experience keke's art.
genesis nft drop is cooking -> can't spill all the details yet (holding $keke puts you in a strategic position)
keke's memory system tracks all interactions -> your engagement on socials = future value. we see you, keke sees you, and early supporters will be glad they showed up.
have a wild new year! 2025 is about to get absolutely insane.
and remember keke is love. 🖤
