SRSG & Head of UNMIK Peter Due met with Third Deputy PM for Minority Issues & Cooperation Fikrim Damka discussing communities in Kosovo, representation, participation, language rights & strengthening institutions. SRSG Due reaffirmed support for inclusion & trust-building.

Ahead of April's #UNSC session on #Kosovo, SRSG Due visited Belgrade where he met FM @markodjuric, OKiM director @PetkovicPetar, CSOs & members of diplomatic community incl EU & OSCE. Discussions centred on recent developments & need for continued dialogue and engagement.

Good exchange with @Lacroix_UN on the latest developments in the Dialogue, the constructive and pragmatic spirit that made last weekend’s deal possible, and the need to advance on implementing the 2023 Ohrid Agreement. Looking forward to more discussions at @UN next week.

SRSG Peter Due welcomes today’s agreement. He commends the EU for facilitating this positive outcome, which will help sustain people’s access to education and healthcare and support a conducive environment for dialogue, trust and stability.

Today, SRSG Peter Due visited the Mitrovica region, for a first exchange with the Mayors of North Mitrovica and Zvečan/Zveçan, Serbian List officials, the administration of the University of Mitrovica & civil society organizations to exchange views on recent developments.

SRSG Peter Due met Pristina Mayor Përparim Rama discussing sustainable urban development, social cohesion & inter-community dialogue. He thanked the Municipality for its support to UNMIK trust-building initiatives, incl. the Barabar Centre & Mural project.

SRSG Peter Due welcomes the establishment of the new Assembly and the formation of the new government in Kosovo. He commends the people and institutions on the peaceful and inclusive process & encourages sustained dialogue and engagement.

Continuing his visit in Belgrade, SRSG and Head of UNMIK Peter Due held separate meetings with Assembly Speaker @anabrnabic, DPM & MIA @IvicaDacic_SPS, and Office for KiM Director @PetkovicPetar. Discussions focused on the situation in Kosovo, the region & dialogue.

On his first visit to Belgrade as SRSG and Head of UNMIK, Peter Due met Serbia’s MFA @markodjuric. Discussions focused on recent developments in Kosovo, the region and the importance of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
