So, I have a gut feeling that the city of Chicago will actually turn red before the surrounding counties. Chicago has had it really rough. All the corruption. All the illegal immigrants. All the crime. It's gotten bad enough that people are fed up and finally ready for a change. There's a lot of energy right now pushing for that change. Out in the suburbs, we're still so insulated from all that. People are still comfortable enough to have the luxury to support stupid leftist policies to make themselves feel virtuous. There's very little appetite for change. We'll get there, but it hasn't gotten nearly bad enough yet for most people to care or bother to change. Oh and let’s not forget the upcoming pension sweetener for our dear public sector workers that may potentially cost another $30B. We have fostered a culture here where people view public service as a means to get rich - and why not, that’s exactly what it has been for decades. Illinois really is a rotten place.
