Bennie Thompson, Ranking Member of the House Homeland Security Committee, to discuss the Supreme Court’s latest ruling on Louisiana redistricting and what it means for Black representation in America. What we are witnessing is not just a legal shift, it is a direct threat to decades of progress secured under the Voting Rights Act. As Congresswoman Clarke made clear, this decision could have generational consequences if we do not act. And Congressman Thompson reminded us that the very gains made since the Civil Rights Movement are now at risk of being rolled back. From Congress to city councils, the fight for fair representation is being challenged at every level. But as they both emphasized, the response must be just as strong, through organizing, voter registration, and turnout. This is a defining moment. The struggle continues, and we must meet it with action.
