@PeterR2013@bazdjcooper Agreed. We played some of our best football of the season and Joseph had his best game in Black and Amber. But even with just reasonable finishing we should have scored 4 at least #hcafc
@bazdjcooper The ref was poor with a range of decisions. The goal would have stood on at least 19 out of 20 occasions. He clearly disliked McBurnie if they’d have snapped both of his arms off he would have waved play on. We’ve often had luck this season but this decision was a shocker #hcafc
20 years in football teaches you a lot about the unwritten rules of the game...
And one of them is how you treat the people who came before you 👀
I came across this footage of players and staff leaving through the tunnel after Arsenal's win over Chelsea. Standing there were Freddie Ljungberg and Emmanuel Petit - two Arsenal legends who won the lot and helped shape one of the club's greatest eras 👏
And almost nobody acknowledges them. Not after a win, not on their own patch, nothing.
But Declan Rice was the one exception, and honestly, it was great to see. The way he took a moment to acknowledge two men who helped build that club says a lot about his character!!!
Football has a short memory, and I get that.
But the culture lives in the small moments just as much as the big ones.
It costs absolutely nothing - a nod, a handshake, two seconds of your time.
Dec gets it, and hopefully others take note 🙌

Every dive/simulation/exaggerated fall, ever yard stole from throws or FKs, every bit of holding/pulling, every appeal when they know it’s not their ball, etc etc.
Slate refs if you like. But root issue is players continually cheating at every opportunity. Fix that, it improves
It is the last day of #FebMusicChallenge26 so we are going #retro with our choices and we are going big. Thanks as always for joining in, it is the ten year anniversary next year. Little did I know it would last that long.
Our #FebMusicChallenge26 them today is all about the young people, full details on the graphic. For the younger people that take part you could choose younger siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews etc. My own choice below.
Our #FebMusicChallenge26 takes us to the movies today and our favourite songs from films that arent musicals or based upon musicians. I have a couple of choices today :-)
Morning all, back to school today. enjoy those that are just starting half term. Todays #FebMusicChallenge26 theme is due to the #WinterOlympic2026 closing ceremony.
Saturday hurt. No hiding from that. It was our heaviest defeat in 20 years and our heaviest home defeat in 33 years. We know many of you paid £10 to watch it. That isn’t lost on us.
The Consett game has already been postponed twice, both very late on. So we want to try and give something back and get as many of you through the gate as possible.
For Tuesday 3rd March at Woodhorn Lane against Consett, it will be pay what you feel at the gate.
If you’re able to give, thank you. If you’re not, just come and back the lads and enjoy the game. We need you there.
In addition, all season ticket holders will receive a drinks token at the turnstile to redeem at the bar as a thank you for sticking with us.
Thank you as ever for your support. Without it, we wouldn’t be here.
