🚨Jose mourinho on Manchester United and Michael Carrick : “ Michael Carrick has done more than all the Premier League managers, yet they still question whether he should be the permanent manager. He has comfortably beaten the entire Big Six and has the most points since he joined, yet you still don’t trust him? “At Manchester United, the problem is not always the players, not always the results—it is sometimes the decisions. Too many times the club looks outside for answers, chasing big names, big reputations, but football is not about reputation, it is about understanding. Michael Carrick understands this club. He doesn’t need time to learn what Manchester United is—he already knows. He has been inside the dressing room, he has won everything there is to win, and he knows what the fans expect when they walk into Old Trafford. You can bring in managers with big CVs, with big egos, but if they don’t understand the soul of the club, they will always struggle. Carrick has something you cannot teach—connection. So for me, it is simple: instead of making another ‘clever’ decision, maybe the club should make the obvious one… and finally trust one of their own.”

@DexxterUtd Roy's right, he allowed a hand ball goal to stand and didn't send Fernandes off for his late tackle high on the ankle and nowhere near the ball

🚨Roy Keane on the officiating of Man United vs Liverpool: “It wasn't a fair officiating at all. We saw several fouls on Maguire, Sesko and Casemiro overlooked while a slip from Luke Shaw and an easy tackle by Casemiro attracted instant yellow cards. Referee was emotional. We saw easy free kicks and quick starts for Liverpool and the exact opposite for United. The tackle by Frimpong on Sesko was a card offense, Sesko later was forced off injured but the game was allowed, with no punishment for Frimpong. Darren England should never officiate a big game again.”

@BBCSport Booing after Chinese Wu Yize beat Mark Allen to reach snooker’s final. Wouldn’t be anything to do with racism, would it? Some sports fan need to take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror!

Watching Sir Olly Robbins and @BBCParliament Can anyone tell me who is the perpetual 'Nodding Dog' in the stripped shirt behind Olly Robbins please? Genuinely interested! Has he been politically placed over his left shoulder?

@RMTunion @RMTunion drivers striking for no other reason than they can! Public transport is for the public. The police are not allowed to strike. The same should apply to PUBLIC SERVICE workers. Oh, and I’d also say that a bus driver’s job is more stressful than a tube driver’s!

4 questions for London Underground on the 4-day week: 1️⃣ Will all drivers be able to opt for current arrangements? 2️⃣ Can drivers keep current arrangements if they transfer depots? 3️⃣ Will new drivers be able to opt for the current arrangements? 4️⃣ Are all changes to parameters and agreements going to be voluntary only? Wholesale changes to terms and conditions cannot be agreed without knowing the full implications #Tubestrike

🚨🎙️ Wayne Rooney ; we all saw the red card given to Lisandro Martinez against Leeds United. Today, we witnessed a very similar challenge involving Bassey against Brentford, yet there was no VAR intervention and no call for the referee to review it.🔴 I was honestly waiting for VAR to step in, but nothing happened. At this point, it’s becoming hard not to feel like there is clear inconsistency when it comes to Manchester United. If the same kind of incident led to a red card before, why was this one treated differently? It raises serious questions, especially when United are fighting for a Champions League spot next season. This isn’t the first time, and it definitely doesn’t feel like the second. Decisions like this make it seem unfair, and many fans will understandably feel that the club is constantly being treated differently. The level of hostility towards Manchester United is becoming impossible to ignore.

🚨Mason Mount on shushing Chelsea fans: I gave everything for the club and the fans. I helped them win the UCL and played in two finals. I left the club three years ago, but people still act like I did something wrong when I left. It was a mutual decision. I expected better from them. I’ve always been a Manchester United fan since I was a kid, so I don’t see anything wrong with joining the club I support. I wasn’t going to accept those chants today.

This evening I went to Mass at St. Matthew’s Cathedral in DC. Cardinal McElroy gave an incredible homily against the Iran war. He called it “immoral” numerous times. And he ended with: “No. Not in our name. Not at this moment. Not with our country.” There was a huge applause.

You almost have to marvel at the fact that Cooper never stoops to criticise the 'recklessness' of the US and Israel in attacking Iran. Nor the fact that Trump has threatened: Canada, Greenland & Mexico and is recklessly strangling Cuba. Pathetic.

This has to be some kind of grim joke. Does Yvette Cooper not know that we've noticed that the Strait was closed as a result of the invasion. When there's a war, people do things like blockages, sieges, and counter-actions. The Strait was open before the war, Yvette.

Here we have British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper scapegoating Iran for the Strait of Hormuz tensions while willfully ignoring the fact that this whole crisis was set in motion by Israel and the United States. Truly staggering hypocrisy.....
