Where all these went wrong was not carrying Honourable Nafiu Bala Gombe along in the whole coalition, when ADC executives resigned for David Mark and Aregbesola to take over in July 2025, while his alleged resignation came about a month after. They even orchestrated a resignation letter as a deputy national chairman and made his state, Gombe Chapter of the party to deny that he’s no longer a member having resigned from the party. But there is no letter showing his resignation from the party at the local or state level. They should have just promised him one top political appointment, should ADC wins in 2027, even if they won’t honour it later. All of these would have been completely avoided.

ADC now demanding the sack of INEC Chairman Prof. Joash Amupitan, claiming he’s taken sides with APC and can’t be trusted for 2027. This is the same ADC drowning in factions, court battles, and leadership chaos that Peter Obi rushed into. Instead of fixing their house and respecting institutions, they’re attacking the referee. If a party can’t manage its own affairs without crying bias at every turn, how will it run Nigeria? Rule of law must apply to opposition parties too — not just when it favours them. This smells more like desperation than democracy.
