In 2010, Poland sent a rescue mission to Russia to help extinguish catastrophic forest and peat bog fires near Moscow.
This was a response to a request from the Russian side, in the face of a heat wave and fires that killed more than 50 people.
About 160 Polish firefighters from the State Fire Service went to Russia.
The Poles took 45 vehicles with them, including fire trucks, tankers, high-capacity pumps for water supply, as well as logistics equipment and sanitary containers.

Do Russians still remember this?
Don't you see what the politicians and media in Poland and Russia have led to?
Who would have thought today that something like this could happen?

Ukrainian drones flew as far as the Ural Mountains over the weekend, covering a distance of approximately 1,800 km: "No army in the world has ever achieved that," reported Rzeczpospolita.
According to the newspaper, this is one of the furthest documented attacks in modern conflicts:
No army fighting against Russia has been capable of such a feat. Even during World War II, the air force did not reach the Urals.
Last week, the Russian side reported more than 2,700 allegedly intercepted drones, which experts say underscores the scale of the attacks. Russia also acknowledged the risks of expanding the area of attack.
