Nebraska putting 4 players on the court. Duke’s last 10 seconds up 2. Florida helping and giving up the 3. Just a reminder the next time you’re at a high school game: mental mistakes happen at EVERY level. And screaming at 15-18 year olds from the stands isn’t changing that.

A lot of high school football players n Nebraska don’t understand how important track is to their overall development as an athlete. Especially if you’re a skill position player

I can get you to work hard. But I cannot give you the will to want to come out first. That's competing. Competing is doing the very best with what you have, especially when circumstances, opposition, and adversity are stacked against you, and STILL pushing through anyway.

Geno Gold 🥇 Preparation is the great separation. In the biggest games you don’t rise to the occasion, you fall to your preparation. Be great today.

Like many others, been saying it for years. Anyone who discourages your child from playing multiple sports does not have your child’s best interests in mind. Period.

Early specialization is overrated. Generalists excel over time. Data on >34k stars in sports, music, science, and chess: Focusing on a single field predicts a faster rise, but cross-training foreshadows a higher peak. The most successful adults start off as well-rounded kids.

The stats don’t lie. Across the U.S., high school softball and baseball aren’t treated equally, and the disparity is impossible to ignore. Full column ⬇️ si.com/onsi/softball/…

Parents who sit alone aren’t avoiding people. They are avoiding negativity, drama, and complaining. They just want to watch their kid play… without the noise.

Let me just say this, when the game gets tough, the calls don’t go our way, or the scoreboard isn’t what we hoped for… take a deep breath and remember who’s out there with your kids. They’re being coached by men who love them, believe in them, and pour into them every single day, on and off the field. These coaches give their hearts, their time, and their families to this game. And speaking of families… that part? It’s not easy. Our kids miss their dads. We wives are holding it all together, working full-time, running households, and showing up in those stands no matter what. We see the long nights, the heartbreak, the passion, and the purpose. So when you’re at a game, and emotions are running high, and those coach’s wives are sitting right in front of you, maybe think twice before tearing down the very people pouring into your kids. A smile, a hug, or a simple “thank y’all for what you do” goes a long way. ❤️ Yes, football is emotional. Yes, we all want to win. But at the end of the day, we’re all on the same team.

An important message for parents. Negativity at home always finds its way to the locker room. Parents have the power to help build a positive culture…or poison it.
