Well Nick I saw him play a couple of times live at matches , he was indeed very good I probably didn’t appreciate how much so as I was fairly young at the time around 10ish , I must admit i was completely blown away with John Barnes who I also saw at an actual games for Liverpool & England, against Wimbledon he was mesmerising to watch , another often overlooked is Peter Beardsley , Rush for me will always be number one again I saw him at actual games on 3 occasions & he scored in every one of those matches, John Aldridge another solid player , then we have Alan Hanson anorter beast on the field , but midfield yep probably souness but Barnes very close .
