Yesterday morning, I had the pleasant surprise of bumping into H.E. Governor Issa Timamy at Dr. Kalebi Labs (DKL) - no bodyguards, no aides, no entourage… just him quietly coming in for his regular lab check-up. He was so unassuming that my Gen Z team, who were attending to him at our central referral Lab in Real Towers, Upper Hill, didn’t even realize there was a VVIP in the building until I personally greeted him and took him aside. Whilst I was showing him later how to access his results through the DKL App, I was humbled to learn that he has actually visited DKL quietly several times before whenever he is in Nairobi since we opened 1½ years ago - having been recommended to us by his own physicians. Yet not once has he ever called me, let alone requested special handling or sought VVIP treatment. It means most likely my staff all along didn’t even realize who he was whenever he visited @DKLDrKalebiLabs before. What struck me even more was that after we finished serving him and giving him a quick tour of our ultramodern lab facility, he politely refused to have his driver pull up to the entrance and instead walked himself to his official car (GVN 005), to the shock of our security doorman who is used to opening car doors for VIPs, let alone VVIPs 😊 In today’s world, such humility is very rare! 🫡 A second-term Governor who freely mingles with ordinary wananchi without fanfare, seeking special treatment, intimidation or excess security - because, in his own words, he has nothing to fear or hide 👊🏾 Rare breed indeed! 🙌🏾 It was truly an honour serving Your Excellency. Asante sana Gavana! Allah Baārik 🙏🏾

Yippeeee? Iranian IRGC and state media claim the AN/FPS-132 radar at Al Udeid, Qatar, is fully destroyed in their strike—$1.1B system with 5,000km range. Qatar reports most missiles/drones intercepted, with limited impacts and minor damage at the base; no official US or Qatari confirmation of total radar loss. Images/videos circulating, but independent verification pending.

According to multiple reports from Iranian state media and the IRGC, yes—the AN/FPS-132 early-warning radar in Qatar was hit by a missile strike in their retaliation operation and described as completely destroyed. It matches the post exactly: $1.1B cost, 5,000 km range, monitoring ballistic missiles across the Middle East. Images of the damaged site are circulating widely. The US has not confirmed or denied this specific loss.

Jambo Gitobu, We are very sorry for the inconvenience. The aircraft’s lavatory is currently inoperative, which also caused the delay. Please use the lounge lavatory before boarding. Safety remains our top priority, and your concerns have been escalated to our operations team. Thank you for your understanding. ^BO

@FlyJambojet , you need a serious reboot for your JKIA staff on customer care. I used to think bags get lost on international flights. You managed to leave mine behind from Mombasa to Nairobi. It contained my critical medications. Your staffer decided to call security on me.

@QuickmartKenya , I'd like to take a few minutes of your time to, for once, commend you. Or rather, your stellar Quickmart employee Vitalis Oduor at the Kilimani branch meat station. Vitalis is a gem of a worker. Courteous, but even better, innovative. Promote that man.

Horses possess a remarkable anatomical feature called the “stay apparatus,” a system of tendons and ligaments that locks their leg joints in place, allowing them to doze while standing. This evolutionary adaptation means they can bolt from danger in an instant if threatened. But standing sleep has limits. To enter REM sleep, the deep, restorative phase where the brain dreams and the muscles go slack, horses must lie down completely. In this position, they’re defenseless. They cannot flee. They are exposed to predators. So they only do it when they feel absolutely safe. If a horse lies flat in your presence, stretched out and still, it’s offering you something profound: its trust.

@KenyaAirways @KQSupport your service is atrocious. Stuck on the runway at JKIA in boiling temperatures in one of your decrepit flying tubes with no air conditioning.

@KeNHAKenya , the unmarked loose gravel chippings on the Ke ol- Marua Highway between Karatina and Marua are a disaster in the making. Especially at the spot where a tanker crashed and burnt some weeks ago. You people are incredibly reckless.
