Just out: California's wealth tax proposal has a NEGATIVE $25B net present value. SF rent is now $3K/month/room 🤯 Advith, Robert, and I need to move. Our current place is $1.8K/person, and every other building in SoMa is either booked out or going to cost us $3-4K/person. My hypothesis is this is because so many AI companies are fully in-person in SF again (like us).

I have just been informed that one of the teams competing in the AI Grand Prix is using a biological computer built with cultured mouse brain cells to control their drone. At first look, this seems against the spirit of the software-only rules. On second thought, hell yeah.

California’s so-called “wealth tax” proposal is already driving jobs and tax revenue out of state. This is the predictable consequence of one state acting alone. The answer to income inequality needs to come from the federal government – and that’s why we need to close the loopholes, cut the waste, not crash California’s innovation economy.

@BoredElonMusk @chamath @RickCarusoLA Completely agree. If I were governor I would post pone all property taxes on houses impacted by wild fires until rebuild it is the least the state could do and just a decision.

Accurate. My annual property taxes was $54,000 per year.
After the fire they reduced it to "land value" which is roughly $28,000 per year.
If our state wasn't run by ghouls the number would be $0 until the rebuild was done.

A few things I want to say on behalf of Philadelphia Eagles Fans and then I want to not talk about football again this season
1. Eagles fans did not want Kittle to get injured. We wanted to win fair and square. No one was rooting for that.
2. Speaking of winning, the Niners deserved to win that game. No one can debate that. Eagles got beat.
3. It's a relief the pain of this season is over. It was miserable. Let's learn from this, make the changes that need to be made, and do better next year.
