🇺🇸 Two men brutally and unprovoked attacked a 77-year-old man walking in downtown Seattle, leaving him hospitalized with serious injuries. As the victim walked, one suspect punched him in the face while the second shoved him to the ground from behind. Surveillance footage shows the pair continuing to punch and mock the elderly man as he lay bleeding on the pavement, before casually walking away. The victim spent over a week in the hospital with a broken knee, a broken arm, and a deep laceration on his forehead requiring stitches. 29-year-old Ahmed Abdullahi Osman was arrested shortly after and charged with second-degree assault. The second suspect remains at large. Meanwhile, immigrant advocacy groups and left-wing activists in Seattle are intensifying pressure on Mayor Katie Wilson to shut down the city’s police surveillance camera network and halt all planned expansions. They argue that footage from the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) could be accessed by federal authorities, including ICE, for immigration enforcement. The mayor has stated she will deactivate the entire camera network if federal immigration enforcement increases in the city. She recently paused further expansion of the system.

An invasive type of squirrels is about to wipe out England’s native ref squirrels. The grey squirrels, native to North America, were introduced to the UK at the end of the 19th and have been taking over in the past decades. The larger, bolder invaders are quickly outcompeting the smaller native red squirrels. Greys are better at foraging in broadleaf woodlands, consume more food including unripe items reds cannot eat, steal cached supplies and reproduce faster with larger litters. They also carry squirrelpox virus, which is harmless to them but fatal to reds, causing populations to crash up to 25 times faster where the species overlap. Red squirrels, once widespread, had faced some habitat loss from deforestation, but the grey invasion accelerated their decline dramatically. Today, only small populations survive in parts of Scotland, Ireland, and a few isolated English sites, while greys number in the millions and dominate.

For the first time since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Eurofighter Typhoons with the British Royal Air Force have engaged and downed Russian one-way attack drones over Ukraine. According to Romania’s Ministry of Defense, the Typhoons, serving under Operation Biloxi 2026, the RAF’s four-month contribution to the NATO Enhanced Air Policing Mission over Romania, were given clearance to engage the drones over Reni in Southern Ukraine earlier this morning, after several were spotted heading towards Romanian Airspace.

Gestern in Kyjiw getroffen: Einen entspannten @karlnehammer, der eine zuvor komplett zerstörte Volksschule in Butscha wiedereröffnet hat. Der Wiederaufbau wurde mit einem Kredit der Europäischen Investitionsbank finanziert. Für meine männlichen Delegationsmitglieder gab’s die berüchtigten Nehammer-Begrüßungen (und hoffentlich keine blaue Flecken). War schön, dich zu treffen. Danke für das Engagement!

Israel hat nur 39 F-35 und hat 0 Flugzeuge an russische Flugabwehr im Iran verloren. Europa hat 200 F-35. Dazu noch 1.500 4th Gen Kampfjets. Russland hat 0 5th Gen und 400 4th Gen Kampfjets. In welcher Welt würde Russland Europa angreifen? Komische aktuelle Panikmache.
