New ED pharmD study on lytics for PE-arrest with both tPA and TNK pt's ROSC seen in 9/21 with tPA vs only 2/11 with TNK. Not a huge study (it's hard to find pts) but super interesting to see if another study comes out with similar tPA > TNK results bit.ly/4mbUqYG

If you are on SAVE, going for PSLF and you’re a new borrower*, get onto IBR. *a new borrower is someone who only began taking out loans on or after July 1, 2014.

@AdamSMinsky What’s the move for those that are on save forbearance. And do I understand correctly that time spent under save forbearance doesn’t count if I needed to do a PSLF buyback to finish out my 10 years?

The Department of Ed filed a new update on Tuesday detailing its progress on working through a massive backlog of IDR and PSLF Buyback applications. It's not great. forbes.com/sites/adammins…

Ok. The Affordable Loans For Students Act has my attention. 8.5% exchanged for 1%? - that’d be a great relief for trainees. Of course this is a bill, not a law. We shall see.

@olsonplanner For those pharmacists that are out of residency and on SAVE plan previously with 5 years of PSLF. Am I understanding correctly that IBR is likely the preferred option then?

As far as I can see, I don't see a downside to PSLF folks switching to IBR. But this has been a mess and it's about to get messier. I make no promises.

@PharmD_intheED I need to bust out the ⏱️, I swear IVP 1.5g can be administered with LESS bedside time when accounting for tubing setup etc But maybe I'm wrong about that (have to go back in room to remove ivpb setup but could do that at anytime so maybe that's not a big deal)

Poll: how has the change to IVP Levetiracetam been received by your nurses hospital-wide? Shops that have switched to all doses IVP Keppra - have the nurses enjoyed the change? I suspect they will, question came up & wanted to check #TwitteRx @ASHP_EMPharm @accpemedprn

public record because your town or county bases your property’s taxes on its latest confirmed value. There’s a lot to think about, so take your time making this big of a decision! Let me know if y’all have questions!

📚 Home-buying Decisions for Physicians 📚 Buying a home is extremely important to many people, and for reasons including student debt, living location uncertainty/brevity, this decision is more challenging for physicians. Let’s look at four categories ⬇️

Found this in one of the doc boxes in the ED while working. @ACMCEM residents feel free to chime in with toxic effects you would expect to see with acute and/or chronic use

@PharmD_intheED Did a PGY1 - applied for PGY2 in CC/EM. ended up not matching. fell in love with trauma/EM. Now i split my time doing ER & trauma coverage with EM as my primary practice.
