OH CANADA: 97.5% of Canadians have refused to comply with the government’s order to turn over their banned firearms. Soon authorities will go door to door to seize the weapons in their effort to disarm the nation’s citizenry.

If the New York Times reported the war in 1944 as it’s reporting the war today. President Roosevelt continues to pursue a war for which he failed to prepare the United States. Though there have been some significant military achievements, especially in North Africa, U.S. forces remained bogged down in the Pacific and severely bloodied in strategically meaningless places like Tarawa and Guadalcanal. The Italian campaign has totally stalled, with an appalling loss of American life that will soon be surpassed by the utterly reckless and inevitably doomed invasion of France. Meanwhile, the innocent people of Japan and Germany continue to suffer. The damage to both their countries and the impact on the world economy is incalculable. The chances of a negotiated settlement appear more than ever remote. And all of this because the impressionable Roosevelt was duped into going to war by that master manipulator, Churchill.

Some local news: The (now former) Rainier HS principal was just sentenced to five years for possessing CSAM. Why didn't you hear about it from the usual Portland media outlets? Let's see... Oh, wait - what have we here? "At the time of his arrest, Williams was on paid administrative leave from the school due to comments he made following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk." Can't make lefties look bad, yanno. columbiacountyspotlight.com/2026/03/16/for…

Under AUKUS, Australian sailors are embedded on US submarines to learn how to crew nuclear-powered subs. So when the USS Charlotte torpedoed an Iranian frigate, you'd expect our personnel to be at their stations. Instead, our government ordered them to their bunks. Our people were little more than submarine tourists. This government suffers from a kind of practical pacifism, where the only circumstances our armed forces might conceivably be permitted to fire a shot in anger is at an enemy actually bombing Darwin. At some point, the US president who's supposed to give Australia up to five Virginia class nuclear powered submarines is going to ask why he should divert firepower to a country that won't use it. Could a country that benches personnel already embarked on a US sub ever be trusted to be at America's side when it really counts? It’s Gary Plauché Day 🫡 On this day in 1984 Gary took out the pedophile that molested his son Jody. Plauché was given a seven-year suspended sentence with five years' probation and 300 more hours of community service. When he was questioned as to why he shot Doucet, Plauché contended that he was in the right for killing Doucet for sexually assaulting his son and that any parent in a similar position would have done the same thing, stating "if somebody did it to your kid, you'd do it too."

Last week I asked if you would be okay with consenting to a background check to shoot at a shooting range. I asked because this is exactly what I was told to do at Liberty Firearms Institute in Johnstown, Colorado. My USCCA pistol qualification was hosted there and upon my arrival (I drove almost 2 hours to get there) and was given this form to complete consenting to a background check just to shoot the pistol qualification on property. In typical Alicia Garcia fashion, I said how absolutely ridiculous this was and that it’s a violation of privacy. I was going to refuse, however I felt I should do it for the full experience of being the test subject for public consumption and report back. Of course they gave me grief for some items on my background check (I was a scrappy little brat in my early 20s but was never convicted of any violence) and of course I was given a hard time and asked if I’m able to purchase a gun. I said ‘I bought a gun yesterday’. The female I spoke to was proud to say how she negotiated these terms with the city because they don’t want people in their gun range who are not upstanding members of society. I mentioned how eager I was to mention this on my radio show, which I did this morning. Upon mentioning this on air, my phone and the phone lines of other 2A organizations blew up with inquiries as to why and how this is happening. It was also a surprise to me that some ‘gun people’ said ‘they can do whatever they want it’s their business’. Here is some information I have gathered thus far about this issue: LFI’s own non‑member agreement states: “To ensure the safety of LFI members and guests, we require that everyone successfully complete a background check.” It frames the check as a safety and liability measure and authorizes them to review criminal history and other public records for “membership purposes.” On their “First Time at LFI?” page, they list a “one‑time 10 instant background check” as part of the check‑in process before you shoot, again treating it as a standard house rule rather than citing a statute or ordinance. Their waiver also notes “One-time background check fee per each shooter 18+ going on the range,” which reinforces that this is a recurring operational policy. A 2016 Reddit discussion reports a customer being told by staff that “the city of Johnstown mandated this condition for them to establish the range,” but another commenter—apparently familiar with range practices—states there is “no kind of regulations requiring you to pass a background check to shoot,” and suggests LFI does this to “cover their asses” and avoid public scrutiny if a prohibited person later commits a crime. This is anecdotal, not an official city or state source, and no citation to a Johnstown ordinance is provided. Johnstown municipal code and other official city documents available online do not show a specific ordinance requiring commercial shooting ranges to run background checks on all shooters for lane use. Public range-practice guidance (for example, national range resources) also notes that NICS checks are legally tied to firearm transfers, not to simple range access; some private clubs choose to run their own membership checks as an added screening step. My sources and I will be looking into this further and I encourage everyone to comment and express your concerns and opinions. Are they justified in their decision to run background checks on their patrons? I firmly believe policies like this set the tone for more gun control.

800 years traded for a three‑line whip. MPs have just voted 304–203 to slash our right to trial by jury for thousands of cases carrying sentences of up to three years. More than 3,200 lawyers – including 22 retired judges and hundreds of senior barristers – begged the government to stop this “erosion of a deeply entrenched constitutional principle for negligible gain”. Labour backbenchers called the plans “unprincipled, counter‑productive and shameful constitutional vandalism”… then many of them abstained when it actually came to the vote. Eight hundred years of being judged by your peers, traded away for a three‑line whip and a cheap headline about “efficiency”. If this is what they do with a majority, imagine what they’ll do when you’re the one in the dock.

Annualized, UK speech prosecutions are running at about 17x those of the Soviet Union under Brezhnev. Of course, the USSR had 4x the population, so more like 68x the prosecutions/person*year.

USSR in the Brezhnev era prosecuted its domestic enemies under Article 70 (Agitation) & Article 190-1 (Disinformation). 3,234 people were arrested under those articles from 1962-1985. The UK prosecuted 2,341 cases of internet speech in 2022 alone, with 1,816 convictions.

Trump has launched an illegal regime change war. As someone who has survived the horrors of war, I know military strikes will not make us safer; they will inflame tensions and push the region further into chaos. When we abandon diplomacy, we choose destruction.
