@TomLevels_ How is it? Could you compare it to Codex or Claude out of curiosity?

Just hit 500,000 Subscribers! I never could have imagined (what really is my weekend hobby!) growing this much. Getting really close to overflowing a signed 20 bit word! There’s still so, so much to explore in the field of Computer Science. My biggest advice is go make the content that would have inspired a younger you! No, it’s not my dayjob. As much as I get a kick out of people thinking that I’m some giant private equity production (lol), it’s just me, my small bedroom, and some cameras. Thanks everyone for the support, I’m excited to keep sharing this field with you all. Until next time, LaurieWired out.

@MichaelCue97159 @binx7h I was going to say kidney stone too! 😁 I had 2 events and I had to get operated for the first one. I was surprised about the size of the things that could pass through natural ways. 😅

@binx7h I burned the skin off of my hand when I was 12 with boiling fudge. That sucked. I also passed a 1cm kidney stone at a Durham Bulls game that hurt so badly I passed out.

Good morning techies ☀️ New day, same bugs, same coffee, same dreams of “it works on my machine” becoming “it works in production” 😄 Let’s ship something today 🚀

@PhilShteuck @TrustScore_1 In 2004 I wrote an entire ATM machine in c++ using 2 c++ books, man pages, and the documentation for each hardware device. Still the most satisfying project of my career. This was all coded with vim using Slackware on a shitty 15” laptop. 😂

NOBODY has written code from pure knowledge since 2008. Either developers Google'd it or use stack over flow AI just automated it.

You know, the first few calls are the warm-up calls. They are those helping you calibrate mentally. Don't expect results from these calls. Then, you'll feel a kind of flow. The game is to find a way to sidestep rejection. You can have this by making them feel you are genuinely interested by them and their problems. Build relationships. Sales will follow.

@aijoey @nvidia @NVIDIAAIDev Cool. Did you measure the aggregate tokens/s and latency? I'm asking because I'm messing around a vLLM tuning system.

15 concurrent terminal workloads on a local DGX Spark, all served by nvidia/nemotron-3-super 120B A12B NVFP4 through vLLM. 15/15 completed, 0 errors, 30.2s wall time: no fake dashboard, just local inference under concurrent load. fineprint: live local concurrency demo

I used to have opinions about frameworks/libraries. Now I just ask the LLM what it prefers and go with that. Code is not mine anymore.

@alexabelonix Alex, you said previously that you should solve real pain points. Those who want your solution should be willing to pay. No building before proof of willingness to pay. Bootstrapping becomes obvious 😅

Build in public > > > overcoming burnout after 6 months of being locked in 1) workout, stretching, sauna, cold shower, morning meditations, protein, creatine, iron, magnesium, no caffein I’m exactly where I want to be 😁 2) did 2 tasks per day (regarding revenue streams) 3) need to make a difficult decision since I’m running of my budget: angel investors or salary. How do you fund your startups? And what do you prefer?

@Youssofal_ Totally agree. I spent over 2 months trying to make local models produce decent working code, to no avail. The problem is tool leakage in the thinking and response tag. I am fiddling with a solution which requires to rebuild the output to repair the tool calls.

After spending time with Qwen 3.6 27B in Cursor I’ve come to realise the constraint on local models isn’t intelligence but the harnesses. Local model harnesses are TERRIBLE. Pi, open code etc are genuinely bad. As a community, we need to do better than this.
