I've been absent from here since November due to my Mum's failing health. She died at 04:24 this morning. Sad to see how nasty Twitter has become whilst away. Good to know I have my many friends here.

One of my pet hates at this time of year is the totally OTT use of #leafblowers Apart from the noise and distress to wildlife, they require half the petrol required to fuel a small car and emit 11 times as much CO2. Ban ‘em! 😡

@PhilTaylorARPS @SketchLisa They are in the process of upgrading the fibre broadband in our road. I never buy anything at the door. I am seeing our local police (PCSO) tomorrow at an event so will be discussing it with them. He had a BT jacket and an ID with BT on.

@oxfordteddy This is also a regular scene at our local Tescos's. Queues of 10 to 15 minutes, so they can take 5 minutes to fill up is not uncommon. Took me 5 seconds to plug in last night, get up this morning, car is fully charged, at a cost of around £7 thanks to @OctopusEnergy Intelligent!
