However, if you're born into a household with a 7-figure net worth then you are a de-facto millionaire.

The petrol stations add the lot to margin.

@Phil_Bow @PolitlcsUK VAT is 20%, halving that would be 10%. Petrol is currently sitting around £1.50L. 20% would be 30p, 10% would be 15p ergo a reduction in 15p a litre. It’s rly not that hard to follow. Also back to your original point, most trucks will be claiming their VAT back on fuel anyways.

@BladeoftheS @Phil_Bow This is true. Bill Gates dad was rich, Mark Zuckerberg parent weren't struggling, he dropped out of HARVARD. Elons dad wasnt poor. His dad was his first investor, Dangotes dad wasnt poor, he owned a private jet in the '70s in Nigeria. Very few start from humble beginnings.

@BladeoftheS A lot of billionaires now arent getting by on being the best at what they do. They just happen to catch lightning in a bottle (Amazon, the iPod) and everything that has come since has been devoting all energy to crushing any possible competition

@BladeoftheS I think a more interesting experiment would be, they can start out as a normal average Joe financially, but the thing they're most well known for has already been invented and widely accepted as being done better by somebody else.
