On Friday, I was honored to serve as MC at the 2026 National Heroes Day celebration at @RwandainJakarta. A meaningful tribute to the bravery and patriotism of our heroes, a reminder especially for the youth to continue building our nation with purpose and integrity.#HeroesDay2026

Today, Never Again Rwanda joined its youth community students from high schools and alumni (@NA_communit), youth representatives from Umurunga Family (@UmurungaFamily), Sherrie Silver Foundation (@SherrieSilverFd), and Furaha Ministry at Rebero Genocide Memorial, alongside H.E. Irene Vida Gala (@IVG2909), Ambassador of Brazil to Rwanda, as Guest of Honor. During the visit, young people toured the memorial site, learnt about its history and significance as a memorial for politicians perpetrated during the Genocide against the Tutsi in 1994, and laid wreaths. In her address to the young people, H.E. Irene Vida reflected on today’s global realities while reminding the youth of their responsibility to continue building the country and safeguarding its progress. “We are currently living in a world that is perpetrating more genocides. So choose your fights wisely. Learn, understand what’s going on, and choose the good fight. The fight of peace,” she stated. #Kwibuka32 #NeverAgainRwanda

À cette occasion, j’ai transmis au Peuple rwandais le message de solidarité et de compassion du Chef de l’Etat, Son Excellence Mamadi DOUMBOUYA, du Gouvernement et du peuple guinéen, pour saluer la force et la dignité du Rwanda dans son processus de reconstruction. In Nairobi, MoS, @Jadouwihanganye, met with @HannHabib, Managing Director of Shelter Afrique. Their discussions focused on exploring & strengthening cooperation between Rwanda and Shelter Afrique, in line with the institution’s mission to promote and finance the housing sector.

Le 10 avril 2026, l’ambassadeur Festus Bizimana a reçu M. Eric Lopez, un éducateur sénégalais enseignant à l’École internationale de Kigali depuis 2023. Leurs discussions ont porté sur le concept rwandais d’Umuganda et sur sa pertinence en tant que modèle d’engagement communautaire et de responsabilité collective. Cette rencontre a donné lieu à un échange fructueux de bonnes pratiques en matière de gouvernance locale, soulignant comment des approches participatives et un leadership efficace peuvent favoriser le développement durable et la cohésion sociale au niveau communautaire. Dans ce contexte, M. Lopez a présenté son initiative, développée en collaboration avec les autorités locales sénégalaises, visant à adapter et à introduire le concept d’Umuganda/Setsetal au Sénégal. Le lancement officiel de cette initiative est prévu le 11 avril au Sicap Baobab, à Dakar, avec le soutien de M.
