Students are “arriving to campus not only skeptical of free markets, but openly embracing democratic socialist ideas. The problem isn’t that students have rejected capitalism. It’s that many have never been taught how it works or why it matters.” —@SamuelAbramsAEI

🚨 This was the most insane single day in American foreign policy in a generation and most people missed half of it.. > Iran agreed to suspend its entire nuclear program — indefinitely.. > Iran agreed to never close the Strait of Hormuz again.. > zero dollars changed hands.. no frozen funds.. no pallets of cash.. > the US naval blockade on Iran stays up until the final deal is signed.. > Trump publicly ordered Israel to stop bombing Lebanon — used the word PROHIBITED in all caps.. > Netanyahu went on live TV and admitted he was acting on a US request.. > Defense Minister Katz got overruled within hours after saying Lebanon ops "have not yet been completed".. > a 10-day Israel-Lebanon ceasefire took effect overnight.. displaced Lebanese civilians started walking back to their villages.. > oil dropped 12% in minutes.. global equities surged.. > Iran's Foreign Minister declared the Strait of Hormuz "completely open" — first time since March 27.. all of this.. one Friday.. if you're not following me you're finding out about this 48 hours late from someone who read my post..

...The public apology is a very rare occurrence on the Court and inures to the great benefit of the justice and the Court. As I said in the article, Justice Sotomayor is neither mean-spirited nor uncivil. We all make unguarded statements that we regret and the Justice showed integrity and collegiality in issuing the apology.

🚨SCOTUS has now signaled it will strike down state laws that let ballots keep flooding in days (or weeks) after Election Day — a move that could finally kill the mail-in ballot games and restore real election integrity. No more “Election Month.”

The Supreme Court appears poised to rule in favor of a single nationalized voting day that would require ballots to be received and counted by Election Day Justice Alito: “Election Day, like Labor Day or Independence Day, means one specific day when voting takes place, not a rolling period of weeks.”

43% of young U.S. grads are underemployed. Said another way: 43% of young U.S. grads are overeducated. Decades of pushing “college for all” without regard to job demand or ROI led to an oversupply of degrees, rising debt, and a labor market where many roles don’t actually require the education people were told they needed.

A New Way to Live Together What if the future of family living isn't about moving farther apart... but building closer together? Imagine a piece of land where everyone has their own home, their own space, and their own privacy -yet parents, siblings, kids, and loved ones are only a short walk away. No long drives for Sunday dinners. No worrying about aging parents living alone. No strangers raising your children while family lives miles away. This kind of family compound keeps not only memories close, but also wealth, land, and opportunities within the family. Shared gardens, shared meals, shared support... and a lifestyle built on connection instead of distance.

Elon Musk thinks the entire education system is built on a broken assumption. That every student should learn the same thing. At the same speed. In the same order. At the same time. Musk: “Everyone goes through from like 5th grade to 6th grade to 7th grade like it’s an assembly line. But people are not objects on an assembly line.” The model was designed for a factory economy. Standardized inputs. Predictable outputs. That economy is gone. The assembly line is gone. But the education system still runs on its logic. A student who masters algebra in two weeks sits through eight more weeks because the calendar says so. A student who struggles gets dragged forward because the schedule doesn’t wait. Neither is being served. Both are being processed. Musk: “Allow people to progress at the fastest pace that they can or are interested in, in each subject.” AI doesn’t teach a classroom. It teaches a student. One at a time. Every time. It skips what a student already knows. It finds where they’re stuck and approaches it from a different angle. It adjusts in real time. Not at the end of a semester when the damage is already done. A student obsessed with basketball learns fractions through shooting percentages. A student who builds in Minecraft learns geometry through architecture. The subject doesn’t change. The entry point does. No teacher with thirty students can do this. Not because they lack skill. Because the math doesn’t work. AI doesn’t have that constraint. Musk: “You do not need to tell your kid to play video games. They will play video games on autopilot all day. So if you can make it interactive and engaging, then you can make education far more compelling.” The brain isn’t broken. The format is. Kids learn complex systems and strategic thinking for hours voluntarily. Then walk into a classroom and can’t focus for twenty minutes. That’s not a discipline problem. That’s a design problem. Musk: “A university education is often unnecessary. You probably learn the vast majority of what you’re going to learn there in the first two years. And most of it is from your classmates.” Four years. Six figures of debt. And the real value comes from the people sitting next to you. Not the institution charging you. The degree doesn’t certify knowledge. It certifies endurance. Musk: “If the goal is to start a company, I would say no point in finishing college.” The system was built to train employees. If you’re not trying to be one, it has nothing left to offer you. Every lecture. Every textbook. Every curriculum. Now available instantly. Personalized to any learner. Adapted to any pace. The question isn’t whether the old model survives. It’s how long we keep forcing students through it while the replacement already exists.
