Quick notes on giving a speech at a wedding, funeral or any celebration or mass gathering.
When you are invited to speak, more often than not, you are chosen to represent friends or family or work colleagues and the collective experience of the person being celebrated. Your task is not to tell your story, but to articulate what those you are tasked to represent feel.
Personal anecdotes, if you must, at least share one that would serve to reflect the collective truth resonant with everyone. The fact that the person once lent you money, bought you viagra or triphasils, helped you in a crisis, or showed you kindness is not the point. The point is their character. Frame such moments as evidence of a generosity that many in the room have benefited from not as a spotlight on yourself.
Resist the temptation to centre yourself. This moment is not about your proximity, your history, or your sacrifices. It is about honouring the person in a way that feels shared, balanced and dignified.
If you intend to be humorous, exercise restraint. Take a brief mental scan of the room. Ask yourself:
Who might misunderstand this?
Who might feel exposed or diminished?
Who might be hurt rather than amused?
Wisdom in public speaking is not saying everything you can say, but knowing what should not be said. Practise self- restraint and do keep it short and sweet.

We were appalled and tried to get help. Even though the delivery guy did not arrive at the correct location they still charged me.

@casspernyovest @Uber_RSA @UberEats They did to me, I ordered food. Communicate with the driver, gave him access code n address where to deliver. The next thing he says he didn't find my place n he dropped the food somewhere in the estate. When I contact Uber they said he followed all the protocols

.@Uber_RSA @UberEats Uber has become such complete rubbish !!!! Yesterday I tried to send a gift to one of my friends through uber courier and the driver decided to steal the gift and report that he returned to me !!! The name of the driver is Dymon and it’s been over 24 hours since I tried sending them e mails!! Such an expensive gift , ruined my day and ruined the gesture for my friend cause he was so excited!!! I never use Uber courier again!!!! This happens after they have stolen food sooo many times !!! Such rubbish!!!!

@DrMom_Cooks @Uber_RSA @Uber_Support Now I am being sent between app help section and email for days. Getting auto generated messages in some instances where it ignores all evidence disputing version of events. Has anyone ever been actually heard after raising this or Uber doesn’t care

@DrMom_Cooks @Uber_RSA @Uber_Support @Uber_RSA I have been at this back and forth trying to resolve this type of a situation. I have sent all indication of my efforts on my side, that cctv can be requested to show the driver went to incorrect building and ignored my guidance

Hhayi bo, these Uber Eats delivery guys are getting skelm! They arrive at your gate and chill for a bit, not buzz to come in…. then boom you get a message that they can’t reach you and they drive off with your food! @Uber_RSA

Peter Rd Substation (Muirfield Ave distributor): The power supply is fully restored.
This follows an unplanned power outage that was caused by overload. It had an impact to customers in parts of Willowbrook, Peter Rd, Van Dalen Rd, and possible surrounding areas.

@CityPowerJhb @GoatB_24 @zd @CityPowerJhb please respond . We have done countless escalations, new CPrefs . This issue is from yesterday - we are going on almost two days with no power. The issue was already isolated and partially resolved - can a team be dispatched to finish restoration
